This is what I love about FR. In less than 50 minutes, we have the aircraft and model identified and photos issued. We have type and location of ejection equipment and survival gear. We have survivor contact reported almost real-time. We have maps, photos and weather reports for a remote British base we utilize. We have first hand accounts of people involved with similar craft or responsibilities. Boom! We are Way better than "film at eleven".

Funny, I was just thinking how much more comprehensive it is to get news here rather than almost anywhere else.

That means that all 4 are probably very sore if they are alive. My understanding from the classes I took on the ACESII (so that I could maintain around it without killing myself or others) is that ejecting causes injury. Period. Better than dying, but still painful. Prayers for a quick recovery for our brave airmen.

URRAH! A Bravo Zulu to the crew of the USS Russell! BTW, here's some scoop on the Russell. She is an Arleigh Burke-class DDG, Flight I, hull number DDG-59. She has Aegis, lots of VLS cells, and can blast the snot out of land, sea, and air targets. That is all...

B-1 uses nap-of-the-earth flight. ...but, not when returning to base.

I seem to rememeber that the pilot and co-pilot seats shoot up, but the other two crew seats shoot DOWN to eject...

On the B-52G's that I worked on 4 went up and 2 went down. I think all 4 go up on the B1B.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to the Secret Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, doesn't the Tri-Lateral Commission have final approval authority for all international conspiracies?
