You know that the government is going to ease controlling regulations upon us little by little, so gradually most will not notice until we are sheep of government. I always said I would never lay down for crap like this. I am wondering what is going to happen in the future. I have faith that God will see me and my family through the future.

Thanks.

Maybe the lack of response is from the fact this is a rather defeatist post. I quote Sir Winston Churchill, from a time when the Brits still had some b*lls, (REAL B*LLS)- Never Give Up!..Never, Ever, Give Up!..Never Give Up!

I swear, you know, that these people don't even care what the particular rules are. They just like making and enforcing rules "because." For the power. For the control. For their other powerful, controlling friends. So they can all feel important and be in charge. I think there are relatively few who are completely disinterested in what rules are made. Rather, there are too many who believe liberty is achieved when the rules are the ones they want to live under. They don't mind picking everyone's pocket for a project they approve of. They don't mind prohibition on consumption of products they have no desire to consume. They don't mind compelling all to act as they like to act. Those are the folks who endanger liberty because they don't understand it. The real destruction of freedom occurs when their desire for a project, a prohibition, or a compulsion is so strong, they are willing to compromise with others whose project, prohibition, or compulsion they don't particularly care about in order to enact their own. Then we have two restrictions on liberty, then four, and so on.

Well, I've never heard of this woman before, never read anything by her before, either. I see some of myself in her; I've always been labeled a trouble maker, don't "go with the flow," always have to "open my mouth," and "spill my guts" about what irritates me with our politicians and the laws they're making. And I get laughed at, about what I see coming: don't get told I'm wearing a tin hat, but that's about what they think. And my kids, they're too young right now, but I think I irritate them with my "fanaticism" too (I educate them, too, ya know). I wonder the stories women like Deb Pulaski could have told a hundred years ago--how sad would they be with our Republic? Thanks for the post. Makes you think. Makes you want to pray harder that people will open their eyes and stop being such sheeple.
