Well, after coming so close twice, maybe it was a twinular *long run*.

ABC reported this morning that a school was hit and showed video of wounded kids. It ain't biased if its the facts...just the news

Agreed. That isn't what CNN was doing though. They kept repeating over and over that *perhaps* heavily populated refugee camps were hit. It wasn't only bias, it wasn't only NOT news, it was speculation for which there was no basis in fact.
In that school, one child was killed. In all the rest of the bombing, only 2 people were killed. That is almost miraculous.
Still, with hours of bombing, wounded would be expected. Deaths would be expected. Much to Israel's credit, in such close quarters, the strikes were masterful. That is news too. The difference between Israel and the Islamic Jihad is that Israel doesn't deliberately target civilians, especially children. Otherwise, they could have blown Gaza completely off the map. THAT was the message. If they don't listen, the only alternative is that they die. Israel CAN. It didn't...this time.

ONE child. ONE. And it was not deliberate.

It's nice to see that Israel has finally had enough to tell Colin Powell to bleep off.

The gloves are off. If Arafat survives the week, I will be very surprised.

War will be the result and many will die, but at least there will be a period of peace following it which will be stable and last at least a couple of decades.

These psycho monsters kill many Jews and so far Israel has just killed buildings and a few of Arafat's helicopters.

Dennis, they also destroyed the airport. Major blow to Butcher of Munich. It will not end here by a long shot. Personally, I think they should start building settlements in every open space they can find and arm everyone. If it IS to be war, it is one which they chose. My compassion is for MY country and MY blood though I am peacefully unconflicted with the fact that my country and my blood are twain. I am very proud, VERY proud.
Bush just announced that they cut off Hamas's money and assets and shut down their fundraising and recruiting facilities here in MY country.
G-d bless the USA, and Am Y'srael Chai! I could not dream of a better heritage.

I agree about FOX lagging behind CNN during these times. Also, I can't stand Sheppard Smith's show. He's a nice guy, but his wild voice inflections sound more suited for Hard Copy than national news.

Well said. I will mark you down in the pro_Israel column. Just kidding.....I already know where you stand on the right of Jews to live in peace in the MidEast.

Shepard Smith is GREAT! He makes his show go fast, friendly and hard hitting.

Yea maybe. There's just something weird about his show. Its all over the spectrum, kind of like CNN Headline News done up in an MTV video, or something. You know? Video changes every millisecond, with his Chris Berman impersonation trying to keep up with the video barrage. I like him, just not his show.

He really does go too fast but the other Fox anchors don't. I just like the way his show is done ......The way Sheppard is always friendly in a "regular guy" kind of way with the Fox contributors to his show. I just like his style.
The other day Shep said "Stay with Fox ..... Where the news is fair, balanced and American". I love it!

One secret of Fox is they do news the way guys want to see it ...... not the way women want to see it.

The IDF Spokesman denied that any children were hurt, saying this was "another lying claim in the network of Palestinian lies and incitement." In order to ensure that no civilians would be injured in the operation, "before every attack, the air force conducted low-altitude flights so that the noise would drive people away from the area before the shooting," the spokesman said.

But independent observers, including foreign correspondents, said it seemed that children had been hurt in the street outside the school, though not in the school itself. However, they said, most were injured only lightly, primarily from having fallen down while trying to flee the area. ARTICLE HERE

I was wondering if you could tell me if this change you've been noticing has been since 9/11, or is it even more recent? .....or possbibly even before 9/11?

This change has been MUCH more recent. Pinpointing it would likely be when *unbiased* reporters became cannon fodder both in Afghanistan and Gaza, and then the onset of the realization, of the horrific treatment of Christians, especially in Bethlehem, made their support of the *palestinians* intolerable.
Nobody in their right mind could fail to notice that Israel sat on its hands waiting for the PLO to stop their atrocities, kept the ceasefire, even as the settlements were being systematically attacked, even as bombings, shootings, stonings were taking place. Even then, when Israel finally did respond, the response was very measured in comparison to what Hamas, Tanzim, Force 17, and Fatah had already done and were still planning to do. It became too painfully clear that CHILDREN were the main targets of the PLO and that genocide was their one and only motive.
While I am speaking of this, I have read some posters on FR saying that Israel *suffered a HUGE defeat* by Hizbullah in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, forcing them to retreat. THAT is a lie. Israel was keeping its part of the peace agreement that clinton hammered them with. There was supposed to be a guarantee that no attacks would be initiated from Lebanon on the Golan settlements in return for the pull out. Instead, Hizbullah/Syria claimed that THEY forced Israel to retreat, which of course, was oft repeated from the loudspeakers in every mosque in the Near East. It made Hizbullah heroes to other factions, weakened whatever control Arafat ever thought he had, and rendered him irrlelevant. Hence, the accord between Hamas and Hizbullah leading Fatah to enter into an alliance with both, bringing them to the untenable situation they cannot cope with now.
The Golan will NOT fall. And Israel will retake Lebanon sooner than later. The Christians in Lebanon are once again begging the world for help. The world has never responded, but Israel did. It will again.
