Idiotiotic statement! He knows who and where the 'sleepers' are, and you don't want him alive. Incredible.

And what exactly makes you think that that information could be extracted from him? And before you label my statement as idiotic, you may want to learn how to spell it...

You are mentioning Osama, Judge Judy and Willie Nelson in the same context?

Those are fightin' words in these parts, partner!

I know you must have seen Rummy today. I was particularly stricken by his comment that he is a "conservative person" and tended to understate things. I just have a feeling he knows something he is not exactly sharing. Perhaps something right along the lines of this article.

I wouldn't be surprised by some "big news" sometime in the next few days.

Do you really think this freak would talk? I mean there are ways but I just don't see our side resorting to these methods even though the situation warrants it. Maybe then put him in with the population at Rahway State Pen? I think I'd still rather see his corpse.

Best bet is to grind him up and feed him as pig slop which would shortly become pig s***.

See, the whole point is, it doesn't matter. If he talks, great! If he doesn't talk, not so great, but satisfying. But, he will probably talk, eventually.

As for us resorting to this, you and I will NEVER know about this.
And make no mistake about it, we are in real danger here. This situation DOES warrent this.

Capture vs. Kill? Couldn't we compromise?

They could capture, half-kill him, then turn over half of him.

WHY? WHY? WHY? They need not be alive! This is stupid! I don't want Bin Laden in the Hague, I want him hanged! Let them butcher him if they find him... let them disembowel him slowly... so long as he and the leaders of the Taliban and Al Queda are dead, that is all the world needs to know.

He probably will follow the Hitler example: shoot me, burn me, hide me. It took over 25 years before the tests proved that the skull in posession of the Russians was Hitler.

He's the big 'kahoona'! How can you ever root out the fanatics if you shoot and ask questions later? No matter how you spell it, your statement was juvenile rap!

If he is captured alive, there will be tremendous pressure from Islamic militants in an attempt to spare his life or maybe even avoid a conviction. The sooner he dies, the better it will be to end terrorism. It would be best that he die at the hands of the Northern Alliance so that radical muslims cannot argue later that a trial was controlled by those American infidels.

I don't want him captured; I want him dead.

So do I. But on the other hand there is nothing bin Nazi would hate more than sitting in a prison in the middle of Great Satan Land for the rest of his miserable life. He would much rather be dead. It's tempting...

I'm not arguing that he doesn't have valuable intelligence; I'm arguing that, without torture, he'll never provide it to our side. Trust me, I hope they do torture him in order to gain valuable information. Then kill him, as slowly and as painfully as sadistically possible. I would guess, however, that we won't. Therefore, unfortuantely, capture is pointless.

Indeed, it is. However, imagine bin Laden locked in some federal jail and his followers taking American hostages. They threaten to kill them all unless he is released. What would we do? Release him? Send in Delta? Either way, I'd rather not see this scenario come to fruition. Torture him to gather any and all intelligence, then kill him. The problem is, I don't think that we would torture him. And I doubt that he'd give up any intel willingly.

Must suffer first......

Yes, I'd enjoy that too. But I think all this speculation is moot. I'll wager that he offs himself before we or the NA get to him. It's nice to dream, however....

OK, I've been thinking... Like the movie 1984, restrain Binny in a chair, lock his face inside a stabilized steel screen, introduce into the screen a VERY HUNGRY pot-bellied pig....YUM YUM!! Offer this event on pay-per-view from a hog stockyard. The money could be used as a reward for the rest of his family and friends.

Seriously folks, there are a lot, AND I MEAN A LOT, of former Taliban militiamen in NA custody at this moment who know the precise whereabouts of 1 Usama bin Laden. You can bet that those SF Troops that you saw on the tube -- y'know the ones dressed in civies -- are presently 'supervising' the interogations in some dank Kabul basement. It shouldn't be too long now!

When do you suppose the Taliban and bin Ladin will catch on to the fact that Allah ain't on their side?
