That's right, make a record-keep your memories, someday soon enough there is going to be an accounting and when you make your charges be sure to have the empirical data.

How cruel! Asking a beautiful blonde singer a question that requires thought.

"She's entitled to keep her opinions about politics to herself."
You're implication that this bimbo actually has the intellectual capacity to form an opinion about politics is absolutely priceless, man!!

"Someone screwed up in not anticipating a question about the subject and having a proper response ready."
And God forbid, she ever have to think for herself. What an airhead she is!

What kind of buffoon would ask Britney Spears her opinion on foreign affairs? That's like the interviewer who prompted that moron Marge Schott for her opinions about Hitler's influence on the German economy.

Freepers are always talking about how celebrities should keep their mouths shut about political issues . . . maybe this time, one did.

Not surprising. Like most Hollywood types, she doesn't know or care about anything that doesn't revolve around her exclusively.I think the clinical term is narcissism. It's a common malady among stars, but most do a better job of concealing it.
It's also a common trait among teenagers, a group to which she also belongs.

Everyone knows that her specialty is semiconductor physics. How unkind of you to suggest that her career involves the use of silicon.

I don't think, in this instance, that she has an opinion.

"Did Matt Damon comment directly on our military actions?"
Don't know about that, but he's a flaming lib and has made statements about other issues most of us here would find objectionable and/or stupid. I believe he was the one who made the movie that was supposedly about the secret society thing that Bush is supposed to belong to -- sull and bones or something like that. After making the movie he said that anyone who voted for W would have to be an idiot. Hey, Matt, it was a movie, make believe. Get it.

Now wait a dog gone minute. She may be a millionaire, but she is only 19. In the middle of the Clinton soap opera, I told my dad that what Bill did was especially distasteful because Monica was just a kid of 19. He gave me that look and said, "At 19, I was a lieutenant in combat in WWII."
Nineteen year olds are as old as we ask them to be. We may be asking more from them real soon now.

Yikes! I'm speechless.

It's bomb the sh!t out of 'em until we win. That's not hard to understand.

RE post 17: That's hitting the nail on the head.

It's easy for reporters to catch someone off guard by throwing in cute questions that have no bearing on the matter at hand, or on which the person being interviewed has never claimed any expertise. I am sure she was expecting pertinent questions about her new album or other teenage stuff. Why on earth would a reporter even pose such a question?

Silicon, gallium, germanium, indium, arsenic, phosphorous... I'm sure that she's quite familiar with the properties of them all!
