Before Sept. 11, INS would get after illegal aliens - but only on fake-ID stuff, illegals convicted of other felonies, cases instigated by unions, bus lines specializing in moving illegals, or mass-scale hiring of illegals.

Not even that. I was watching a program last night on A & E -- I think it was Crime Story hosted by Bill Kurtis.

The program was about an Egyptian chemist, Sharif Sharif, who was a serial rapist and batterer. He plea bargained once - got no time. He plea bargained a second time -- got 12 years and was out in 5. There were other cases against him, but most of the women he brutalized were afraid to testify against him.

Because he was so brilliant and had money he managed to get his employers to vouch for him. After he was in jail, his business partner decided to contact the INS, as did the sheriff of the county where he was serving time, to get him deported. The INS (this was Miami) refused to get involved. He was released, went to TX where he got a big job with an oil company and started his life of crime and brutality against women again.

The former business partner contacted the new company and they finally chased across the border to Mexico where more than 20 women associated with him turned up dead. Unfortunately, I fell asleep so I don't know the end of the story; but it was obvious that the INS really dropped the ball on this one.

Our borders and immigration policies have become a national disgrace, and now a complete national security nightmare.

We either end this immigration "free for all" or wait to be attacked, multiple times for years to come.

The price we pay for this "immigration free for all" will turn American into a police state for you and your children.

Sounds to me like this guy should not be deported. He should be shot.

It's time to take a page from the old Soviet playbook: pick a few old forgotten rail spurs ending out in nowhere. The first train brings the timber and barbed wire. The first load of illegal aliens build the fences (under close supervision). No tents until the wire is up and secure. Feed them enough to keep them healthy but not too energetic. Staff the camps with retired veteran volunteers who provide their own arms.

After a few months, illegal aliens will be heading for the Rio Grand and swimming south.

Spread the word, anyone who's managed to cross the border by any means, can stay here forever and never be subject to immigration law enforcement. Hurraayy!

I am amused by some people asking "and how are we gonna tell an illegal from a legal?". Duh. At least take care of the illegals when they show up on the radar screen.

This only indicates that immigration law isn't enforced and you can bet the aspiring border-crossers know that. They must feel welcome here, otherwise they figure they'd enforce the law.

Self-sustaining labor camps? Illegal immigration is not even a felony, I think. Good start would be denying them employment and deporting them as soon as they show up on the radar screen.

Not good enough. If we deport him he's still alive and free to try to get back here and operate as a terrorist.

Either lock him up and throw away the key or hang him high.

His recent detention is a stark example of how immigration law suddenly is being enforced vigorously, particularly against those of Middle Eastern and Arab descent.

Great! Good news.

"None of the chiefs support people being in the country illegally, but that's not the issue," said Laguna Beach Police Chief Jim Spreine, president of the Orange County Chiefs of Police and Sheriff's Assn. "We recognize that our job is not immigration."

Yep, that's the guy.

Have you not figured it out yet? We are only interested in harassing our own citizens. Illegal aliens and expired visa holders pose no threat to the New World Order. Only U.S. Citizens who might decide to exercise their Consitutional rights are a threat to the NWO.

Not good enough. Immigration law needs to be vigorously inforced against illegals of ALL ethnicities.

Say what?

Haven't you heard? The illegals vote en bloc Dumbocrapic, along with the cemetery inhabitants.

Motor votor and all that, y'know.
