Ted, I worked at Interior when you were at Justice. Please accept my condolences. You were a staunch defender of private property and states' rights, and in spite of all, I know you will continue to defend our great constitution.

I'm so grateful Paul Rodriequez offered us this chance to let Ted Olson hear from us. Some of you remember Old Atlanta. He and I were thrilled to hear Barbara speak at a Federalist Society Luncheon/Booksigning in Atlanta when HELL TO PAY came out. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, gracious to all, and oh that smile!

Barbara's books will remain important beacons of truth when the Clintons pen their treacherous tomes of self-serving distortions.

I feel terrible for what happened. Barbara was one heck of a lady, and she went down fighting as best she could - getting information out.

I didn't have the chance to know her - or read the books, but I'll put in an Amazon order sometime. Heck, Christmas is coming and I need to buy presents, so why not her books?

Thank you so much for posting this note from Ted Olson. Barbara Olson was a true patriot. Her smile is so contagious, that I can still see it. I watched Ted Olson's confirmation hearings and admired both Barbara and Ted for their composure and integrity, in front of those "evil doers", (the liberal democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee). I always enjoyed listening to you Paul, when you guested and hosted on Blanquita's Radio show. I used to stay awake until 2:00 AM just to hear the show. It is no longer carried on our local networks. Thanks again for forwarding this to us.

Barbara was wonderful to see on the talk shows. She had the most wonderful smile. I will always remember that smile and the gracious way she argued her point. She was so brave when she was on the airplane. She will be sorely missed. Please let Mr. Olson know how proud he made all of us when he argued the case for Bush in the courts and how wonderful it is that he is now our Solicitor General.

They deserve our eternal thanks.

Hopefully you'll be forwarding the comments on this thread to Ted Olson.
All I wanted to say was I was really impressed at how Counselor Olson held himself in
his first interviews after 9-11.
Although I'd like to think otherwise, I suspect that I couldn't attain that level
of composure after such a sudden loss.
He was a real picture of grace under pressure; I really respect him for that...and all
the nobel work of the Olsons.

Thank you for sharing that e-mail with us. Until now, I had no e-mail address to send my condolences.

Barbara will always be missed. I never ceased to be amazed at her intellect. She was always poised and self-assured. When she debated on TV, she was intellectually above her opposition and knew it. I felt this amused her because it certainly was never a contest of wits since her adversaries never had any -- although they thought they did.

Ted, if you are reading this...

I went this very weekend and bought "The Final Days".

I am about 25% of the way through it, and it is quite incisive and wonderful. About a year ago I read "Hell To Pay."

I was VERY MUCH impressed by that masterful expose'. I am sorry about Barbara's untimely death, but I trust that where she is, she can know that her death was not in vain. It propelled the words she wrote into the hearts of many more people than could have possibly been reached any other way.
