Here in Texas the guy would probably be shot dead in the street.

...but they let this guy in Ohio go with the "We're not interested" comment? Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Here in Texas the guy would probably be shot dead in the street. That is what I am worried about...some average citizen might hear this "terrorist" claim that he was involved in the attack on 911...and then the average citizen shoots the "terrorist"...and then the average citizen goes to prison.
They need to get this self proclaimed terrorist off of our streets.
To: ResistorSister
This guy is a terrorist wannabe. I don't have any doubt that the FBI has already checked him out and he's nothing but a punk who craves attention.
Lock him up and throw away the key, but the terrorists we have to worry about are those who don't attract attention to themselves.

I live 1/2 an hour from Canton.
And have lots of relatives in that town....
To: Dog Gone
OK...say that he is a wannabe. What if this 50-year old wannabe, decides that he wants the attention of the FBI so badly that he does some terrorist type deed, just to get their attention? (geez...I guess I am learning what it is to be paranoid)
I agree with you, they need to lock him up and throw away the key.

Have you been reading the news articles - about the terrorist connections in the Canton area?
To: Cool Guy
the enemy is amongst us, using our virtue to destroy us. the tide will turn in due course, imho.
To: ResistorSister
Oh, ya. They have been in all the local papers.
I guess some swarthy males wanted details on the water treatment plant...arghhhh
To: Cool Guy
Unbelievable!
To: dubyaismypresident
I am guessing that one of the swarthy males is the guy in this story.

I just saw on Fox News that the Saudi Prince is coming to NYC to meet with Guliani, and will be in NYC for 4 days
I've never seen this prince but I fear that his nickname is "ArchDuke Ferdinand" if y'all get my WW1 reference.
To: ResistorSister
probably, too bad the FBI is still worrying about being PC
To: dubyaismypresident
I get your Arch Duke Ferdinand reference. But didn't that prince already visit NYC...and leave?
To: ResistorSister
He might do just that. Clearly this guy is trouble. However, I think it's highly probably that this idiot was considered too unstable to be part of an international plot. I think the FBI cleared him of any involvement.
I don't think $1000 bail is high enough. I'd make it $1 million. I don't want him on the street because I think he's likely to do something.
It's difficult to prosecute people for crimes they haven't committed yet. And that's the situation they're apparently faced with now.

But didn't that prince already visit NYC...and leave? I thought he was coming to NYC, not leaving, I'll do a little research.
I hope he has left, safely, hate to see WWIII start, and that would do it (in a heartbeat)

...And that's the situation they're apparently faced with now. I agree.

...hate to see WWIII start You, me, and about 6 billion others.
To: ResistorSister
You, me, and about 6 billion others. I fear the dye may have already been cast, hopefully not.
I normally am a realist/optimist...
