[history]
In his resolve to hunt down and kill the Osama bin Laden terrorists he says committed the Sept. 11 massacres, President Bush has behind him a nation more unified than it has been since Pearl Harbor. But now Bush has been put on notice that this war cannot end with the head of bin Laden and the overthrow of the Taliban.

HRG, And "they" {neo-conservative Republicans} say Buchanan is crazy and wants to kill everybody. Interesting times indeed. Peace and love, George.

It galls people when Pat is proven right. Ignore them when they don't bother to read this.
"Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts."Pat has the long range 'vision thing' for America. They are unable to grasp and discuss his vision. It's the old 'smear his book' revisited even when they don't read it.

I'll go with Buchannan. It's time to rid the earth of these crazies! What are the alternatives? Go through this again in another 5-10-20 years? People that don't realize that they want us dead, are missing the boat. Clean house now!

Sounds like these guys want the USA to be a tool for Israel. Forget it. The founding fathers did not intend for America to be used as a club for a globalist schemes, and a holy war for Israel. That is TOTALLY inconsistent with the thinking of Madison, Washington, Adams, and later in life, Jefferson.
The problem with our country today is we are NOT following the vision of those that founded it. Instead, we are making all the same mistakes that were made in the Old World, which created a world from which the Pilgrims could not wait to get away from, and which the founders despised -- especially John Adams, who, as far as I am concerned, is THE true MIND behind the American revolution.
It is time for the so-called neocons to stuff it. The days of Henry Kissenger are over.

You've gotta love it, though. Pat's forced to defend international coalition building and the foreign policy of Colin Powell. I hope he still has enough sanity to appreciate the irony. Field Marshall Buchanan: ready to declare a domestic "cultural war" at the drop of a hat, but when we face a more potent enemy than the NEA, Pat heads for the hills.

If America wishes truly to be isolated, it will follow the neoconservative line. THIS is Pat's wish, not America's.

I wonder what happened to Pat. Perhaps I high fever damaged his brain cells ('cause I'm sure he's not a doper). And I wonder why the media has suddenly give him a forum? He had become irrevelant for awhile.

Why do you single out Adams in particular?

The point of Pat's article is this:
... But calls for a wider war dominate the neoconservative media ...
The issue is to deal with the perps, and the security of America. That is it. That is the agenda. It should be nothing more, and nothing less.

Interesting. But Pat can never overcome his jew-obsession. Focus here on "israel's enemies" and not other terrorists groups and other world issues. Trying to sound knowledgable and on top of things, he just shows his limits. Again. Of course everyone across the world is standing up pointing out who should be next. (India's new mantra- "We love USA. Please bomb East Kashmir.) It's like Pat has an inkling of what's going on, but his obsessions prevent him from gaining perspective. But interesting.
Of course, if he was wise he would know that we are tilting to a non-fundamentalist counrty with little population and large land and a history of western bases--namely, Libya! Remember, you heard it here first. Gotta keep an eye on Egypt from both East and West.

We cannot stop with Afghanistan... period. The moment we do is the moment that, just as this post has said, we declare defeat in this war. We must deal decisively with other countries supporting terrorism and the short list has to include Iraq. W gets to finish what his father left incomplete... it's a shame but it's gotta be done. Otherwise, we WILL be having this conversation again sometime in the not to distant future.

Patrick J. Buchanan ...
For Pat the V word is Victim not Victory.
For Pat the P word is Pander not Pursue
For Pat the S word is Surrender not Success.
For Pat the D word is Detent not Destroy.
Is there no national aggression against our interests, no terrorist act against our people for which Pat will not sound retreat?
If cowards die a thousand deaths. Pat has died a million times.

Because I have read lots about him, and compared his thoughts, writing, and contributions to the nation with the other big names of his day, and Adams, in my view, stands out as the greatest patriot of all time, and perfectly embodies what Ameirca means, represents, etc.
