Why is it that everyone gives the Israeli's shit? God knows they've tried. The last years hardships for the Palestinians have ALL been their own making. Theirs and theirs alone. HOW do you negotiate with people who's stated goal is your complete and utter destruction. How do you compromise with people who don't want to compromise.

Barak tried. He called Arafats bluff, and Arafat faltered. Declaring a new war was the only thing he had left. He had no ideas the Jews were serious. And in their anger and understandable BETRAYAL, they elected Sharon, however foolish that might have been. What the Pallys sow, they should reap. We're talking about people who dance in the streets when our innocents die, and who celebrate the "victories" of their "brave" suicide bombers with elaborate recreations.

I think it's a very simple solution. Carve out some land, give it to the Pallys, and say "Okay. There you go. Here is your f***ing homeland. Enjoy it. Build it up. Make the most of it. Do what the Jews did, and make it fertile and productive. Don't make yourself God Damn pansy-ass, liberal victims anymore. Don't complain about how ALL the land should belong to you. It doesn't any more. COPE, you bastards. You got your land. Let Israel have their land. Shut up, and don't make us nuke Mecca, for crying out loud. And Israel, shut up. Let the crybaby Pallys have their state. Build a gi-normous wall on the Neo-Palestine if you wish. But don't you cry either.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that will REALLY solve the problem. Osama Bin Laden and the rest of the Muslim world will come up with new and wonderful excuses why Israeli's must all die. Just as if we try to appease Osama Bin Laden, he'll continually come up with new demands that must be satisfied. The idiot already expects us to cough up 1.4 trillion dollars for all the oil we "stole"....

We are in the end times. Replacement Theology, ie we are Israel, is a product of St. Augustine's imagination. I agree that before Jesus returns to earth all Israel will believe in him and will be saved.

I don't know if you believe what the Bible says but Israel is "the foremost of the nations," God's chosen people and Israel did not become God's chosen people because of intrinsic merit but because of divine grace and appointment (see Deuteronomy 7:6-8; 2 Samuel 7:23-24).

Islam is peace. It was about Israel after all. The arab countries aren't oppressive, and even if they were, it is all America's fault. Muslims hate America because it is the real cause of every one of their problems. Islam does not think it is superior to Christianity. Yes, Christ is also the answer for the Jews, but God calls them throughout His Word "my people" and "His elect" which refers to Israel and those who have accepted His redemption for sin as in Jesus. It is God who will deal with Israel and His Word never changes...The land of Israel is covenant land and God never breaks His covenant with His people..Truth and life quoted a correct Bible verse above and we need to pray now more than ever that our president will seek and hear from the Lord in this decision.

Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia told Washington 10 days before the September 11 terror attacks that US policy towards the Arab-Israeli conflict had become untenable.

According to diplomatic sources in Riyadh, the prince's letter to President George W. Bush prompted US reassurances that apparently led to US backing for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The Riyadh sources said the letter was part of a dialogue started in the June meeting in Paris between Crown Prince Abdullah and Colin Powell, US secretary of state. The letter shows the world's largest oil exporter trying to influence US policy on the Middle East conflict at a time when Arab public opinion and governments had become increasingly disillusioned by US backing for Israel.

This suggests that Mr Bush's statement last week supporting the idea of a Palestinian state was not directly tied to US efforts to bring Arab nations into the coalition against terrorism.

The Saudi message is believed to have indicated that US bias towards Israel was making it impossible for the Saudi leadership to follow policies that were in both countries' interests. Mr Bush is said to have written back to reassure the crown prince that the message had found a listening ear.

The crown prince's office on Tuesday would not comment on the letter. But in a statement last week the Saudi leader praised Mr Bush's statement on a Palestinian state, saying the kingdom appreciated the move.

US officials confirmed that an "exchange of letters" had taken place shortly before last month's attacks but did not comment on the details of them.

A diplomatic source in Riyadh familiar with the Saudi correspondence said it was "a frank exchange, but a letter from a friend".

Saudi Arabia in recent weeks has backed the US campaign but stressed its concern about the fate of Afghan civilians and its opposition to extending the US war to Arab countries.

Since the launch of air strikes against Afghanistan, the kingdom has not issued a public comment. But in a cabinet meeting on Monday, King Fahd called for "practical steps" to end the Arab-Israeli conflict and restore peace in the region. A senior Saudi Arabian cleric on Tuesday sought to counter Osama bin Laden's calls for an Islamic uprising by stressing that jihad, or holy war, should be fought for the good of the Muslim nation, not its destruction.

Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammad al-Lahidan, head of the country's higher judicial council and a member of the council of leading clerics, stopped short of opposing US and British air strikes. But in the first comments on the war by a senior Saudi cleric, he called for "wisdom" in the fight against terrorism.
