Methinks this Mayor will change her tune shortly. Why do people elect idiots like this? In Kentucky of all places.

Perhaps it might be possible to get a vetran to run that flag up the pole and if the disgusting filth of a mayor wants it down she would have to either go over a vet or have him/her arrested. An even better photo op would be if this were a disabled vet.

It would be good theater at least.

Alternatives would be to have a flagpole errected with the POW/MIA flag flying so that it would have to be torn down.

Tell that mayor that the one thing she does not want is one very P*ssed off old pinneped coming down to KY after CT has had its liberal scourge lifted.

She also said she didn't care how many e-mails, phone calls or letters she received it would stay down, because she was not running for re-election and didn't care.

My skeptical mode is on, maybe because I just got off the latest urban legend thread. This comment sounds too outrageous to be true. Did she really say this in so many words? To whom? I would think that if the mayor of a city that size made such a gratutitous insult to veterans, it would make the news somewhere else. I looked at the Lexington Herald-Leader's Web site and the city-county government's Web site and didn't see anything on this issue.

I've never posted a comment questioning another Freeper like this before, but I just can't shake that skepticism. Is there some misunderstanding, or is this another urban legend?

If she really did say all this, I apologize and agree that it is outrageous.

No misunderstanding and no bullshit! I have been fighting KY over the memorial issue for 4 years! The mayor did tell the vets from Rolling Thunder excactly what I posted here!

Thanks for posting about how another left wing extremist who hates America has imploded on her actions and words!

However, with all of these local cases, the only people who can bring about a change are the local people. The people in this wretched city who elected this B$tch, the people in the county who shop in that city, and the people of Kentucky!

Is up to the people who live there to bring this b$tch down! We can offer moral support and pray for you! An email from Kali will not have any impact!

In the meantime I would suggest that large trucks with the MIA flag park around her office, the city hall and her home. Then a couple flagged trucks can follow her with the flag flowing and honking everytime this b$tch drives some where or is driven. I'm sure that your local population will line up and cheer for those honking and driving!

Also, a few protests each week in front of her office and home shouting "Ho Ho! Miller has to go!" will have an impact on the community. If they want to arrest Viet Nam Vets and their family members for exercising their first amendment rights, so be it!

I grew up in Lexington (Tates Creek class of 83), and I hate to say I'm not surprised to hear of this at all. Anything can happen in a city nutty enough to elect Scotty Baesler mayor, then to the US House. Then again, as long as you cloak yourself in UK basketball, you can do no wrong. I miss the city where I grew up, but it doesn't exist anymore, evidently.

Pam Miller has always been a witch. It always amazed me that she ever got elected and reelected. I've been to UK basketball games and when she got introduced, she'd get booed out of the gym. Somehow the witch always ended up with the votes on election day though.

I left Ky. a year ago and moved to Texas and am glad every day that I did. Between the crooked politicians and the enormous tax burden I just couldn't stand it anymore.
