When I read "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom," I was mildly repulsed by some of Lawrence's observations (when he contrasts the "raddled meat" of the Arabic prostitutes with the young men on the campaigns, he reveals just a bit too much), but it did make me realize that Yasser Arafat was just carrying on the old family tradition.

Contrasted whith Paul's high regard for the Priscillas of the early Church, Islam has not offered their women much, apart from the opportunity to sacrifice their sons to violent causes and/or ululate over the misfortunes of others.

I am not surprised. The Apostle Paul, in Romans Chapter One, describes how man's failure to recognize and worship the one true God (Jehovah, and His Son, Jesus Christ, not "allah") leads to the worst sort of debasing sin. In fact, we are told three times that God "gives them over" to their sin.

If Christianity is true, then Islam is a lie. If Islam is true, then Christianity is a lie. It may not be PC, but I believe that "Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father", and must thus dismiss Islam as a soul deceiving lie.

I can't understand the logic that the one doing the penetrating isn't the one that's unusual. If you can "get it up" looking at a boy's back side or, worse, a man's hairy back side, I think you're the one who has "issues".

The Shi'ah books of law also leave the door unlocked for the cases of "Oops, I forgot! sodomization of boys. The following Shi'ah ruling hints at this:

"If he has had sexual intercourse with a boy according to precautionary rule, it becomes unlawful for him forever to marry the boy's mother, his sister, or his daughters even if they are boys not adults. If one is married to one of such ladies before such act, it does not affect the already existing marriage, although it is a precautionary rule to avoid such marriage. Extending this rule to the case wherein one doing the act is a minor the one letting it done to him is an adult, is objectionable, according to a clear view it does not apply. The daughter or brothers and sisters of the one letting it done to him do not become unlawful to one who has done the act." ( Islamic Laws of Worship and Contracts, p. 614, CR #1259 Ayatullah Al-'Uzma Al-Sayyid Muhammad Al-Husayni Shirazi)

In the Ottoman Empire the Khalifs use to keep young boys in the Harems for satisfying their sexual appetites [Such reference may be found in books such as: "The Spirit of Laws" by Montesquieu and "Chronichles of Shirly Brothers"]. Within the Iranian society "bache-bazi" or "sexual play with young boys" has been an under the carpet social norm for many centuries and the ambiguous nature of the Qur'anic prescription has not been able to bring halt to this social illness. Will Durant refers to this issue in his book "History of Civilization". He writes:

"Sexual indulgence was apparently more abundant and enervating in Islam than in Christiandom, though it was usually kept within the orderly limits of polygamy. Turkish society was almost exclusively male, and since there was no permitted association of men with women outside the home, the Moslems found companionship in homosexual relationships, Platonic or physical. Lesbianism flourished in the zenana." ( Will & Ariel Durant, History of Civilization vol 7 (The Age of Reason Begins) p. 520)

The Qu'ran lists death as punishment for homosexuality, but here we have indications that it exists and is given some rationale or, at least, quiet acceptance. Could be a source of cognative dissonance and emotional conflict for islamic men.

After reading this,I rememeber a class I took many years ago where they touched on homosexual practices among some cultures prior to marriage ( and in Africa sometimes after thus the AIDS )...

Satan preverts what God has made.God made Man and Woman and said it is good..and it is good.Marriage is a symbol of the relationship God has with the church..so is it any wonder that satan would attack and prevert that? And then the world would just call it an "altermative life style".

Pity the children of Islam, the world will not have the courage to speak up for fear of being thought of as intolerant.

Who says it's logical? These people are brainwashed from birth regarding Mohammed's teachings. Read (and re-read) the information contained in the link in post #55. It all starts to make sense after the initial shock and revulsion. These men are ISOLATED from women from the get-go.
