Well- two months ago 6500 of our countrymen were not dead - now were they smart ass? 5 from my home town and one from my company.

My point is that she didn't criticize George Bush for his lax attitude about immigration two months ago, and now she's trying to blame Ted Kennedy for being soft on immigration! No matter what you think of Ted Kennedy, it is totally unfair to do that. Besides, there are probably 90 senators that don't support what she's calling for. What happened on 9/11 makes it MORE upsetting that she'd play this partisan game. Normally I'm all for criticizing liberal politicians, but not in this unfair way- ESPECIALLY at a time like this.

By the way, even if you disagree with what I said, calling me a "smart ass" doesn't make you any more or less of a patriot than me. I'm just as hurt and angry about this whole thing as you are. But it doesn't mean that we can't hold journalists and politicians accountable for what they do and say- even the ones we like and support.

Law means everything if you want a stable society to begin with. Toss them away and you are no better than the terrorists are. Coulter's ignorance and/or contempt of the law is almost Clintonesque except that he wasn't quite as blatant about it.

Your point about the potential bureaucratic nightmare is a good one. Ann is not only an attorney. She is a Constitutional Attorney. During the Election 2000 debacle, she was the ONLY one who accurately stated that the SC would take the case. She also predicted the outcome based on the very statute the SC used. Again, she was the ONLY one. And it wasn't the first time she held that distinction in matters of the law.

Based on that, it's a good bet she is suggesting that the special Congressional deportation order would supercede existing INS regulations in the interest of national security.

We have shown this enemy our weakness for too long. They count on it. It's time to show them our strength.

The congress can pass whatever they want and it will still be subject to court scrutiny. She of all people should know that. Coulter can wish away the 'swarthy males' she fears so much all she wants but if she is any kind of lawyer she will know that the legality such legislation is questionable. Still, Coulter has been so lost without the Clintons I'm happy to see that she has found another bogy man to write about. I don't think that this one will have the legs the Clintons had, though. She'll be looking for something else in a few weeks.

don't forget the crack-heads, pimps, hookers, flag-burners, and libertarians-who-can't-spell-"ever".

Unless Eva is your mom.

non-citizens don't have the same "rights" as Citizens.

Heck, even Citizens don't have Citizens "rights" any more...

Perhasp, but they do have some rights. And if we sit back and let them trample on their's then what is to stop them from someday trampling on ours?

She's a troll like other journalists who have discovered that money can be made by stating a shocking opinion. She's a conservative Howard Stern wearing a skirt; BTW she may not actually believe what she's writing.
