US trade with Canada is mostly a one way street. The US runs a 20 billion a year trade deficit with Canada while Canada has only about 20 million people. Compare that with the 80 billion a year deficit with China despite the fact that there are 60 Chinese for every Canadian. On a per capita basis, the US trade deficit with Canada is the worst of any country.

What a pity. Once Upon A Time, Canada produced a top-notch warplane, the Avro Arrow. These days, it's hard to believe that was ever the case. Sorry you are missing the point. I don't understand why any country would totally sit back and leave their own security to someone else. If the reports are true on the state of the Canadian military that have been posted the last few days. There is not much left of your military that you could even help us defend you in a time of war. I guess we are to supply the soldiers that are to willingly die for your freedom. Not to mention the cost of the military hardware.

I guess I am beginning to find the world's reaction to us amazing. They blame us if we get involved and when we don't. They want us to protect them and butt out. We never do enough or we do too much, but no matter what it is always our fault.

They expect us to keep them free and offer us no help in return.

Our military is small, but as a member of it, and after having worked with many American soldiers, would say that it is composed of, as a whole, the finest soldiers in the world.
