Barney Frank says WE CAN WAIT ANOTHER WEEK SO THEY CAN "WORK AS A COMMITTEE" TO CRAFT AN ANTI-TERRORIST BILL THAT ALL CAN LIVE WITH. CONCERNED ABOUT "RELEASE OF INFORMATION" being inappropriately disclosed. Probably worried about his own "exposures".

One more question about Frank...
Wasn't he involved in a gay callboy sex operation being run out of his House chamber office?
I also recall that the 'madam' was a paid staffer and maybe even his boyfriend. Is that kind of right?

Wouldn't it be cool to drop Barny Frank in among the Taliban. They would stip him down naked, cover him with perfume, and make him run through the mountain woods with a stinger missle stuck up his arse.BAWNEYYY..... Yoo Hoo, BAWNEY, where are you?

Perhaps this time (maybe the only time ever), Barney Frank has made some sense. We should not so quickly barter away our liberties in kneejerk fashion. Perhaps these proposed measures do not really impose upon our civil rights but at this early juncture, I couldn't tell you. I'd like to have the opportunity to scrutinize these proposals before we ram them into law.

After all his love for Clinton and keeping the peace and protecting the people, then why do we have 6,000 dead in New York. It seems to me his protection is rather crappy. In fact has anyone noticed today, Bush announces they are freezing the accounts of I think 24 or 27 individuals and groups. Clinton has been saying he gave the same order in 1998 (after the embassies) but they could not find any accounts. Gee is it possible that if somebody (re: Ashcroft) wants to find these groups they can do quite a bit in one week but if somebody else (re: Reno) does not want to create a pc backlash nothing happens for two years?

Oh, please. You should see this hearing. It is a travesty and the terrorists must just love the "entertainment" of it all.

Indeed. While everyone is taking cheap stabs at Mr. Frank, he's busy standing up for our rights. Rare is it that a liberal rep. like him gets positive remarks from those here - take a minute to guess why. Let's not bomb our civil liberties too.

How do you know that Bush hasn't commenced ANY military action? Or are you just tuned to CNN waiting for cruise missiles?

Maybe it's just the Cherokee Indian in me that doesn't trust the government. Go figure.

Good point. Maybe we should take another look at the Clintons campaign donors list.

"and btw, i'm impressed with your use of a Gay Democratic Senator " By the way, I'm impressed with your incomplete sentence, lack of capitalization, and knowledge of the legislature. Barney Frank is not a Senator.

Well, because maybe character DOES matter?
If the Devil himself stands before the House and 'defends' my rightsonly to further his agenda--does that mean the Devil is now a 'good guy'?
I agree that our representatives should be defending our constitutional rights...but Barney Frank's motivations are for his own sorry behind (and others who would patronize it)...so don't fool yourself.

Ashcroft and the DOJ requests are very reasonable that include wiretaps against suspected terrorists to how any wiretaps acquired overseas can be used against a terrorist in our courts. You need to watch these hearings.

and btw, i'm impressed with your use of a Gay Democratic Senator who is arguing for THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE Let's not promote the fag. He's a congressthing.
