I am reposting this as it origially appeared earlier today. Someone (bill maher?) put a pop up window in the original thread and soon thereafter, it got pulled. Please, no pop-ups allowed on Freerepublic.

Today, at least 2 more sponsors, Chevy and Quiznos annouced they were dropping mahre.

The title of your post is very misleading.....when I think of it, I think that if I turned on ABC over here in Denver I wouldn't be able to see P.I. tonight....but I don't live in Washington or Lincoln or the few cities it isn't playing, which means it is still on in most of the country on ABC...

I don't see the problem with this. It WAS cowardly to target the civilian population of Yugoslavia from 25,000 feet. They did not attack us, they did not threaten us. We had no business bombing them. Bombing the television stations and hospitals and trains carrying civilians of a country that never meant us any harm is an act of treachery. The coward, however, was not the military man but rather his leaders, up to the top.

ABC is currently putting propaganda out there. Blame US propaganda. It's really incredible. It's SO SO SO SO slanted. It's all our fault, our foreign policy caused them to do it (?). Why is this on the TV? WHy is there no opposing view????

In-frigging-credible. We know who the enemy is, at least. THey should hope that we don't have war in our streets, in the US. I wonder what their "news" would be then...because war in US streets, IMO, is possible. What would they do then?

I agree with you. However, we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. If Maher is taken off the air for the wrong reason, at least he's taken off the air. As they say; "All's well that ends well."

What took so long? Good riddance. I suspect ABC was looking for a good reason to justify booting Maher, and this one came along nicely. His show was anything but politically incorrect. However it was liberal, biased, and tedious...just like all of network TV crap. Did anyone really watch that show anyway?
