Mrs. Clinton fueled these lingering doubts in November 1999 when she kissed Yasser Arafat's wife, Suha, immediately after Mrs. Arafat delivered a speech accusing Israel of murdering Arab children — with poison gas, no less. Mrs. Clinton said she did not understand the simultaneous translation of Mrs. Arafat's Arabic remarks. In fairness to Hillary!...
(I know, Hillary! would never be fair to me, so why should I be fair to her...)
In her speech, Suha Arafat accused the Israelis of poisoning the environment of the Palestinian areas through careless and illegal handling of toxic material and pollutants, causing the deaths of Palestininan women and children. Substitute "Republican" for "Israeli" and "minority" for "Palestinian" and this charge is a standard arrow from the DNC quiver. I am sure that to Hillary!, it sounded just like the same meaningless blather she was used to hearing from Algore for years. And in fact it was. That is why she found the speech to be unremarkable.
