Did anyone notice how uncomfortable Laura Bush looked tonight. It was if she was anxious about something Long time lurker and fan of FR here....
I did notice Laura Bush's concern, but what I also noticed is that her husband gave her a confident and loving wink. What a remarkable couple they are! What a lucky country WE are!!!

..."but an American." Wow. BTW, I think he came pretty close to saying "pro tempore".

You know what I think Storm Orphan?
I think you are the same mouthy little libertarian brat you have always been. The same shill for homosexuals, pedophiles, every other form of creep to walk the planet.
I think it is absolutely killing you that the President gave such a memorable, strong, moral speech.
Your boy, Harry the Clown, is an adolescent politician compared to what we are putting out at this time.
Your party would be incapable of fighting a war on terrorism; go read your own platform. You people believe in open borders, I imagine Bin Laden and his henchmen would have a field day with Harry in office.
You impotent campus pseudo-intellectuals would be incapable of moving against him.
You are correct. I shouldn't have let myself be drawn in by a newbie tar-baby.
I'm thinking it's more like I shouldn't have wasted time on an insignificant, politically amateurish lightweight libertarian like yourself. Run along now.
Before you and your party get demolished, as usual.
To: Storm Orphan
Perhaps I'll start a thread later today-----an analysis as to how we would all be dead meat if Harry Clown were President at this point in history.
To: Storm Orphan
Pity, it doesn't look like screwing 13 year olds is in the cards with our man in office. I'm sure you are terribly disappointed, as well as most of your libertarian pals.
To: tomkat
It just kicked back in.
You going to defend your new found liberal pal?

Um, harbour, go read my first comments on this thread. I wasn't starting anything with anybody, but of course Stormie had to go shooting off his smart little lipstick encrusted mouth as usual.
I'll be happy to finish this one, however.
To: bootless
Yeah, I listened to it again at 1am eastern time and that last syllable was kinda weak. Still, this was the most inspiring speech in recent memory.

Still, this was the most inspiring speech in recent memory. Indeed. (I have a hard time with some words ... like "regularly". Just can't get that one out...)

The one I have trouble with is Osama bin Laden. It always comes out . . . unprintable.
To: Osinski
Did anyone notice how uncomfortable Laura Bush looked tonight. It was if she was anxious about something.Maybe because her husband will be wearing a glowing, pulsating target for eight years.
To: birdie2
birdie2- I agree with you - I think that communism was not menrioned to avoid offending China and Russia. In an otherwise totally appropriate speech the President for some reason as a Toronto newspaper headline said 'Bush Snubs Us'. I have to say that as a Canadian who has lived and travelled extensively in the US, this leaves me puzzled as to why he would mention Mexico and Australia for example and not Canada. It must be Mexico's great record as a NATO partner and a participant in UN peace keeping missions for decades. Can anyone enlighten me on this one?

I re-agree with you agreeing with me.
To: Storm Orphan
You were wise not to engage.
To: tomkat
Same goes for you. From a "newbie".
Too funny.
