I agree. This one's been coming for a long time at US universities, purveyor of anti-American thought. My mother told me that at U. of Mich. when she was a student during WWII-after Pearl Harbor - there were groups of students even then at universities across America protesting our involvement in the war. The student newspaper at U. of M. during WWII was run by leftist protestors. How have they gotten away with it for so long? Tenure? It's time they heard from the country that gives them this freedom.

Student Senate? Too many decisions are allowed to be made today by spoiled children who have too much time on their hands (unfortunately at the tax payers' expense). Moms and Dads need to yank these kids out of school, withhold cash in their pockets and send them off to work. But then the parents may be just like them. Perhaps John McCain needs to make a visit and give them a lesson in patriotism and sacrifice. I hope ASU alums have the wherewithal to contact the school and express their intentions to withold contributions.

Good one. The examples of unpatriotic/PC behavior at America's universities is not surprising. They are insulated places with a great deal of influence on the young and it is time the outside world educated the educators about America.

ASU class of '59. What makes this surprising is that ASU is not insulated. If it is anything like what I knew when attending there, it is primarily a commuter school with most of its student body commuting from the greater Phoenix area. Considering the political climate of Phoenix, the fan will be excremently adorned.

I don't think that phyical isolation matters. These fresh young minds take in the BS and wander around the surrounding communities insulated by their newfound "knowledge" and gathering in packs for support. Reality will be a shock. We can expect plenty of protests on campus in the coming years, but perhaps the adults in the communities will confront these students and set them straight. Anti-American sentiment will not be kindly tolerated as more Americans understand who we're up against, and who within the US has been aiding the enemy, IMHO.

If I'm remembering those dim days of the past correctly, student government types were not typical of any student body. They were, with honorable exceptions, either (a) kids without a life; (b) ambitious little would-be Bills & Hills; (c) looking for love in all the wrong places; or (d) all of these.

It will be interesting to hear what happens when the student body at large hears of this.

Thank you. WE FReeped the hell out of FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University) in Fort Myers, FL this morning for their stupid policy of the librarian making the employees take off US Flag stickers off of their apparel because "it might offend the foreign students". We shut down their email server, obliterated their phone lines, and made sure that the individual responsible was, and God I love using this term against liberals, "OUTTED" on national radio and television. Fox News and many national radio programs made sure they were made a fool of.

Now it's time to address ASU. Patriots of Arizona, we need more info. Does the student senate have a site for "students" to post their opinions? What is the phone number to their campus radio station (along with email and fax#). It is time to shut these idiots up once and for all. Daddy may be paying for their school, offering an allowance for their dope, but it's time for America to demand that for all we give them, in loans, grants and more, they show a little respect for our nation. Time to end the PC police and challenge them every where possible. FReep the hell out them...and here was my email:

Subject Line: What the Hell are you teaching those students?

Content: "Amazing. IN the mecca of the university, a blend of higher education, diversity, and self-righteousness, your students who represent themselves in a student senate, managed to make your school a mockery, a joke, and the laughing stock of the nation. Your university will be represented on national radio and television tommorrow and tonight as the living epitomy of why the average American, who cannot afford to go to college, views academia as a pit of selfish 1960's leftovers. ASU graduates everywhere are embarressed. So much so, I'm sure the alumni are expressing their sentiment to you as I write this. Diversity? The American flag is the ultimate representation of this idea. Under our flag, thousands of brave soldiers have given up their lives to allow numerous cultures to meld with America. The soldiers did not distinguish between black or white, Asian or African, sexual preference or level of education. They all bled red. And your self-centered student population can not recognize that. Perhaps it is time to refrain from the activities and lead of the rest of academia with creative courses like "Peace Education 101" or "Diversity Training" and begin to focus on our history. Then perhaps when their parents write the checks to the school, they might respect where there freedoms comes from a little bit more. And as our soldiers once again cash those checks with their blood, maybe a little respect and honor for them would be nice."

Sorry to be so wordy tonight, but I've been fired up about this since the NCCI incident in our state. And I want to win this war at home and abroad this time.

For the record, not all Wildcats or Scum-devils (ASU) are anti-American.

Thanks.

ASU is ruled by P.C. This is by no means the first incident! Last year, they fired a professor for daring to teach Shakespeare:

Arizona State University...dismiss[ed] Professor Jared Sakren...Sakren, a graduate of Juilliard, taught at Yale for 12 years before he was hired to head the Graduate Acting Program at ASU.

His former students include Val Kilmer, Kelly McGillis, Annette Bening, and Oscar-winner Fran McDormand.

Sakren incurred the wrath of his tenure-review panel for teaching plays by Shakespeare, Aeschylus, and Ibsen. A memo from the department head complained about his "selection of works from a sexist European canon that is approached traditionally."

The department considered plays by Shakespeare sexist and required instead the use of a play entitled "Betty the Yeti: An Eco-Fable," the story of a logger who has sex with a Yeti and is transformed into an environmentalist.

It was white middle class liberals that either voted AGAINST the flag, or abstained from voting.

This is America. These LIBERAL SLIME ought to either love it, or LEAVE it!

They don't want the flag? Get the F out of my country!!!

Seems as though a lot of people have chosen to keep their collective heads up the Leftists' a$$es. Seen this type of country-wide denial, increased Marxist influences corrupting the core of the foundations of this country for some time. The radical terrorist movements and the beforementioned movements have been hacking away at the land of the free and home of the brave in ever so little bits. Now it's beginning to really show. Several college students in the RTP, NC area are saying they are not willing to contribute (serve) if called upon. Guess they don't see an immediate return on investment. If a person/company is not willing to back the USA at time, I say "All of you can get the F&^% out now!"

Ooooh! ASU is getting a couple of phone calls today. Both Lattie Coor's office and the Alumni Association.

I graduated from there this past December (at age 43!). It is disgusting what mush they try to fill the kids' heads with.
