"I thought this was a political website."

It is but perverted Muslums in their RELIGION see the U.S. as evil and something to be eliminated. Silly boy, religion of any stipe or lack there of is what motivates people. Obviously your remark is motivated by your lack of belief otherwise you'd chime in with a viewpoint. How sad that you have nothing to look forward to after death. You ought to consider the Word of God too.

I re-state my earlier question: Who is innocent?

A young child.

Some people don't get it.

Yes, we are to fear God because of Who He is, however He is love. Punishment is needed to keep us all in line and hopefully for others to come to Him.

He loves us ALL so much He will punish us when we sin. Unlike parents of today, He will chastize who He loves just as parents SHOULD do but don't. Instead they practically reward them for disobedience and wonder why it continues.

His desire is that none should perish and all be faithful to Him instead. It's the "lost sheep" that gets His attention when it returns to the flock. Of course there are others whose hearts just continue to get harder and harder.

"My God is a God of love"

"Fear is for children."

Your best bet is to say little since you are unfamiliar with the Word of God and not a Christian. A Christian knows and tries their best to follow the Word of God and not man. You've chosen to define God by the word of man.

For starters read these entire passages. I'll just highlight the verses the show your lackof knowledge of the Judeo Christian God:

Pss.111

[10] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Prov.1

[7] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Prov.9

[10] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

As you can see, Sinkspur, you don't follow the teachings of the Judeo Christian God, however it's not too late to become a Christian and follow the Word of God and not that of imperfect men, in all aspects. Perfection, God, the Word of God, doesn't mislead you as your mere imperfect mortals continue to do. God can't lie. Man is fallen and will lie and hence why I quote the words of Perfection.

This verse in particular fits you:

Prov.1

[7] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

You are a hostile person when confronted with the Word of God and how it conflicts with Catholic teachings. Catholicism isn't Christian and thus the conflict. At some point you must decide to follow God or your church.

#93 - I'm not s theological, stuck up Calvinist so let me explain why this can happen. The Judeo Christian God allows people to chose what they do and believe in their life.

Don't you find it a tad hypocritical to hold the INDIVIDUAL responsible for their actions but when bad things happen, suddenly the individual is absolved of their responsibility and it's all God's fault. Of course you reserve this idiotic blame for selective occassions that fit YOUR agenda.

It is the TERROSISTS who are responsible for what has happened. They are accoutible for their actions and from what is written they should go immediately to hell. They made poor choice in exercising their free will. These terrorists should serve as an example of what not to do and turn to God and look forward to eternal life.

The blood of millions of the unborn cryout from the ground and God hears..the sin of abortion isnt in those clinics it is in the heart of every American that stands silent..

But, we have not all stood silent. As a matter of fact, about half the population stands firmly against it. I would be willing to bet that more than a few of the people murdered on 9/11 were active opponents of abortion.

Too many refuse to look at their own hands ..so they do not have to see the blood..IT IS THERE. Abortion is a national sin..we have all allowed it...

Why do you continue to allow abortion? Why have you not done everything within your power to stop it? Why do you not wash the blood from your hands? Should God allow you and your family to be incinerated because you continue to allow it?

""Don't Tread on Me"

Nice flag. We have it. It's one rattle snake. It's symbolic of how a rattle snake is alert, warns those with its' tale and then strikes for the kill. This was used bu the Navy as symbolic for how they wished to be perceived.

No, I don't know you, or your family. However, I do know mine. We are rabidly anti-abortion and I reject the notion that we might be punished by any creature claiming to be just for the actions of others.

"Bull! Religious fanatics do it all the time all over the place. Keep your God and your theology to yourself and I will respect that. Try to shove it down my throat and you have another issue."

No one is forcing anything down your throat and you are able to skip whatever postings you don't like. No one is forcing you to participate here or on this thread. It was your use of free will to participate.

"The difference between radical Islam and radical Christianity is just a matter of degree, not substance. Both are intolerant, hateful, spiteful, closed minded fictions that lead to this ultimate conclusion. "

Your ignorance here is awesome. There is a world of difference between Islam and Christianity. It is YOU who is intolerant, hateful, spiteful, closed minded and largely contribute to our ungodly society and speed up our moral decay.

"Doth thou understandth thatuth (do people really think God talks that way? Strange.)."

More jibberish not worth addressing. I hope you find peace. You are obviously very troubled and quite the little hypocrite.

"If God would bring this kind of punishment upon His "chosen people" for their sins (including selecting bad leadership!), why should we expect to escape his wrath?"

In the New Testament there is no Jew or Gentile and the prophecy is driected to all not soley His chosen people. ALL will be equally punished.

"God allowed the Assyrians to carry out these things against Israel, these prophecies were fulfilled. What awaits an unrepentant USA?"

Evil has been here since the fall. We both know why our Jewish friends were sought out in the Old Testament. At the time ONLY these people had a chance at eternal life but were not able to fullfill the law, hence Jesus etc..

As to what awaits the U.S. is anyones guess. I just hope we remain free till the rapture.

Abortion is a National sin..not just a personal one..

I don't buy into collectivism. I'm not guilty for your sins and I'll condemn any creature that seeks to punish me for actions or choices which are not mine. Abortion is a violation of rights perpetrated by the woman who seeks it and the butchers who perform it.

I'm wondering though -- given your sentiment, what are your thoughts on the men who assasinate abortion doctors? Do you endorse them, or condemn them?

You reply is too funny. Allow me to point out the humor.

"How exactly does God judge a nation?"

If you are capable of judging a nation what makes you think God can't? He has all the info.. He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. Yuo have none of these abilties. So to answer your question, I'd say He is more than qualified to "judge a nation."

"Does a nation have a mind?"

The more pressing question is, do YOU have a mind and if so why do you refuse to use it? Yes, a nation has a mind. It's more commonly referred to as a mindset. The mindset of the U.S. is quite different that that of China of Afganistan. Goodness, you must be trying to be amusing and I took you wrong. I truly hope you aren't this dumb.

"Think."

Now that's a suggestin YOU need to take to heart. You have shown no evidence of thinking in your replies here. None of them reflect that. A mind is a terrible asset to waste. Don't let mental apothy take its toll on you ability to THINK.

Judging a nation is just collectivist-speak for someone who has the desire to dispense indiscriminate violence on its people without regard for individuals. It is the antithesis of justice.
