I have no problem with adding Afghanistan to the Articles of War.

I have a big problem with leaving Egypt & Saudi Arabia off them.

I have a question for all the mambie-pambies in here, or elsewhere....

What would we have done had, God forbid, the terrorists had a couple of suitcases full of Anthrax or other chemical weapon on board those hijacked airliners?

Kill all the sons-a-bitches, and let God/Allah sort it out.

I don't know if your comment includes me in "the nambie pambies" but it does show why we need a crafted Act of War.

In fighting Socialism do we declare war on Protestantism because the Socialists have often perverted the World Council of Churchs to its use? Do we declare war on Catholics because the Communists have perverted its virtues under Liberation Theology? No.

Likewise, we have no war with people of Islamic Faith. I understand the Koran says : [18.74] So they went on until, when they met a boy, he slew him. (Musa) said: Have you slain an innocent person otherwise than for manslaughter? Certainly you have done an evil thing. , but like my examples above, Muslim faith can be perverted, its virtues hijacked by evil forces who actually promote the deaths of innocent persons and we are fools if we don't know who we are fighting.

Pitch the battles, then gird your loins with the blood thirsty cry of the wronged for revenge. Not the other way round.

Actually, there have been unconfirmed, unattributed, unsourced accusations that Bin Laden was in close contact with Pakistani intelligence.

The Pakistanis have nukes.

If it is true that the Pakistanis were involved in this, then an appropriate response will require melting their country - if for no other reason than to assure that we destroy all of their nuclear devices, and any of their engineers and physicists who could be capable of recreating them.

One side benefit that will be realized if we destroy them with Neutron-bombs....

We can confiscate their oil 24 hours after we invade them.

Picture that. Gasoline @ $.99 gallon for premuim! ;^)

"declare war on the countries that issued the passports of the hijackers"? So because there were (lets say: I'll stress that this is just for the sake of argument) some Saudi, a few Egyptian, a Pakistani, a Moroccan and a Canadian hijacker the US should declare war on Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Morocco and Canada? You think that even though the governments of those countries weren't involved we should hold them accountable for the acts of individual citizens. Just because an Egyptian kills Americans doesn't mean The State Of Egypt is a threat to Americans and is no reason to go to war against the country.
And nuking countries against whom there are unconfirmed, unattributed, unsourced accusations is just straightforward mass murder on a scale far greater than anything that happened this week.
You're angry, Slick Willard, and that's natural, but just lashing out wildly isn't going to help anybody.

Yep, yep, yep, yep, and yep, respectively.

You think that even though the governments of those countries weren't involved we should hold them accountable for the acts of individual citizens.

The societies and cultures of these countries produced these men. This is a fight for the survival of our society and our culture. You can argue whether, in the cosmic scheme of things, our society deserves, more than their societies, to survive, but if you assume, for the sake of argument, that it is our society which deserves to survive, then our society has an obligation and a duty to eradicate their societies.

And nuking countries against whom there are unconfirmed, unattributed, unsourced accusations is just straightforward mass murder on a scale far greater than anything that happened this week.

I mentioned that the information was unconfirmed, unattributed, and unsourced for precisely that reason. If a collaboration between Bin Laden and Pakistani intelligence can be confirmed, attributed, and sourced, then the nation of Pakistan must cease to exist.

You're angry, Slick Willard, and that's natural, but just lashing out wildly isn't going to help anybody.

Actually, I'm not angry in the least. In fact, I don't feel that the United States is worth caring about anymore. However, an act of war was made upon those United States, and they must respond by eradicating their enemy.

I've said it before, but I guess I need to say it again: War is hell, dude.
