It seems to me he used the term "Act of War" before he left Florida. I also think keeping him out of the Capital for the hours after the terorist attack in the Capital makes good common sence. But maybe I'm being sensitive.

People, our country is in a state of war and you must be aware that this and any other website can be and is no doubt being monitored by all sorts of persons who are our avowed enemies.

If you have information about troop movements, traffic patterns around military installations, or anything else relating to our armed forces, good for you, but keep it to yourself.

We are all duly impressed by the fact that you are Freepers, shows absolute good sense. But if you have any information which could conceivably be useful to any of our enemies, please keep your flippin' mouth shut.

As regards President Bush's movements on Tuesday, he did exactly as I would have hoped and expected of him. He did not offer himself as a target, used all the facilities available to him as they were intended to be used in a national emergency, gave not one but THREE speeches to the American people to reassure them that matters were awful but not out of control, and ended the day back at the White House. I have no idea what some of you want out of your commander in chief, but people who put their head up and try to look brave under fire usually get their brains blown out.

Hi dear,

After being unable to get on FR most of yesterday afternoon, I've had the privilege of perusing various threads this morning and I see our libertarian/objectivist scum are behaving just about as weak kneed and willy nilly as one could expect. If this can't shake them from their pathological contrarianism then nothing ever will.

God bless..and faith.

AirForce One IS THE OVAL office while it contains the President. I think too many people have been watching re-runs of the movie "Indendence Day" where the president is shown flying the mission against the aliens. Get real. The President of the United States IS NOT EXPENDABLE. The Mayor of a city is.

I am very disappointed with the President's performance --

Maybe you should withhold your petty criticism of the President's speaking style, at least until all the bodies have been recovered. Thank God we didn't have to listen to Gore make those statements. Maybe Gore's choice of words would have pleased you, but I'm infinitely more confident in what action Bush will take than what Gore might have done. God Bless America

I am really FED UP with anyone who would disparage our commander in chief during this time of crisis! Geesh, we have lost thousands of innocent people by ruthless killers who blatently committed war against the United States of America...let's cut the crap of talking negatively about our President and focus on what's really important: raising American Flags to show visible unity, and send faxes and e-mails to our congressional leaders to beef up the funds to go and wipe out these @%*@# murderers! If you haven't faxed a congressional delegate, go now...see www.senate.gov if you need any e-mail addresses!

We're wasting our type on that guy; we have terrorists to find. We may as well beat out heads against the wall as talk to people like that. (However, I can NEVER resist!)

You are so right. I watched CSPAN and a few Bush haters were calling in with the most vile accusations, and other reteric. Unbelivable!!!!

Believe it or not, Chris Matthews basically said just that. Along the lines of "As lucky as he was, Clinton never got the opportunity Bush has now."

Sick bastards.

As if polls matter right now, but CBS did a poll of adults (not registered voters or likely voters) that has his approval rating at 72%.
