One thing for certain, moderators can't be anyone posting to the WOD or conspiracy flame threads, they wouldn't have time to moderate. Thanks for a great job.

Many accidently make multiple posts, and ask that one or more be removed. Some ask that we edit their posts - but we cant do that, and have little time for it if we could. Others have made posts in anger, and soon after repented of what they said and asked for deletion. I don't program so take them just as ideas, I don't know if they are practical:
1 - software that checks previous post from any poster from say the last 30 sec., identical not alowed.
2 - Ability to delete own post like on the location pages.
Just my two cents
(Sorry JH2)

Did I mention I'm not wearing pants?

"Incidentally - there are a few bad-apples who have abused the abuse button. These are those who goad or bait people, until they get a response in kind - and then hit the abuse button to dispense with their foes and look angelic in the process. That scam worked for a while - but were wise it now." I find this, along with the encouragement of use of the "Abuse" button later on, to be a bit chilling. Which is it, and what would one consider a "proportionate response?"
For instance, if someone says another poster is a fool or idiot, would that be considered "goading" if the second poster replies that he's been sleeping with both the first poster's wife and mother? Also, how do you know what is in the heart or mind of either poster involved?
Just asking...

lol - someone (won't say who) just hit abuse with, "Someone put a vanity at the top of breaking news."

Well, a logical guess would be any of the FABsters, since they were entrusted to being on the FAB.

There is nothing wrong with your FR forum . Do not attempt to adjust the fonts. images, nor profiles. We are controlling bandwidth. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a smaller font. We will control the horizontal (turn your monitor over). We will control the vertical. We can roll the image; make it flutter, blink and marquee. We can change the focus to a soft blur (to negate those Dem disruptors) or sharpen it to crystal clarity for those that still don't get it. For the next millenium, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and read, discern and believe. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your FR forum. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the outer limits of the web.

See? He uses the "lol" instead of the "LOL" to save electrons.
Yep. It's quidam all right.
Hey, "Moderator"... When are the grey suits coming after Condit? And what's this I hear about Condit's Connie Chung interview having a few minutes edited out of the tape? What'd he do, pull out his razor and waxing kit?

"Seriously, I congratulate JimRob and all the fine folks who work so hard on this site...we know who you are.;^)" I forgot to say that, too. Only way to stay online around here...

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image; make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: There is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to The Freepin' Limits.
