Thank you so much for your post, it is a great addition to the thread. I too am praying they do justice and honor to those brave men that served in this battle and ALL the men and women that served in Viet Nam. It has been long enough of the Hollywood version of things, doing films about Viet Nam half right and putting their spin on them.
Thank you again sooooo much my friend.

Thank you so much .
For me I could not meet a Vet without thanking them for serving this land. And Viet Nam was something very personal to me. I lost many friends during and after the war in Viet Nam and the POW's and MIA's should never be forgotten .
Thank you so much and Welcome Home.

Thank you so much stumpy for your post and sharing your heart . There are good tears and bad tears and yours are good ones. I just want so much for ALL the Viet Nam vets to know without a doubt that there are tons of people that feel as I do. Maybe they could not go and visit the troops, maybe they knew no one personally that went but by golly they LOVE all of you that went and are so very , very grateful.
I am blessed to have known so many Viet Nam vets and their families. Thank you again and WELCOME HOME.

Thank you for your post. The wonderful thing about being able to go there for me and in NO way did I do anything important to fight any battles, ALL of us that went with the USO and Bob Hope felt the same way...... we each were taking hugs, hand shakes and support to all that were there from all the GOOD people back here in America. So your support and respect was there with us I can assure you.
Thank you ever so much for your response. And for being a FReeper.

Thank you sooooo much for the facts. I am so sick of people saying the Viet Nam vets were blah blah blah, I cannot even type the horrible things that some people have said. ALL LIES to be sure.
Thank you Ragtime Cowgirl sooooo much for your post.

Yes everyone should read the book and then see the movie as well. Thank you so much for your response.

Thank you for responding. I wish they had a set date, but I guess they are trying to make it perfect and need more time. I have seen several release dates and they are all different. Thank you for the information and the links too.

Thank you so much and thank you for pinging others too.
To: Snow Bunny
Thanks, Snow Bunny. I just looked up AR's thread.
To: Snow Bunny
Thanks for the post. I was an Army fixed-wing pilot and didn't see much of the ugly side. Coming home was a sonofabitch.
Maybe someday people will understand and think through how Viet Nam happened and see to it that it doesn't happen again. It was all tax-dollars to Texas.
However, I get a gut feeling we've got another Viet Nam coming. Supposedly, we're to have forgotten.

It's the chorus from Garry Owen, which is the regimental march of the 7th United States Cavalry Regiment.

I was at Camp Zamma in December, 1965, cherry in country, a lot of Cav guys from the 7th were on their way out. They were pretty shaky but I heard some good advise. I never really understood why until after I was in their place after my second tour, Tet and after, by then I was prettty psycotic myself.
Welcome home brother
