By all appearance, they ARE The Dem Party, as it now exists.
Any Moderate Dems are shown the far, back seats in wielding any influence.
That includes very experienced political animals, such as James Carville. He is, in effect, Shadow Banned by his own Party. He can say whatever he wants publicly, he can post whatever he wants, no matter how harshly critical he becomes of the Dem Showpieces, but he receives little direct reaction from these same Dems.
It’s as though they are just letting Carville run out the clock until he becomes senile, mute or deceased, whichever happens first.
If it were to happen, the Democrats might find they only have a dying husk of a party left, much like the Republicans if they were to force Trump and the MAGA movement out of the party. Suozzi must want to be the leader of the Whig Party instead of a loyal member of the New Red Guard.
Yep, the fanatics are in control. Their media likes ‘em, too.
Why leave? They’ve just actively saying what liberal leftist Democratic POS have believed for years.
McCarthy was right then and more so now.
There’s Democrats with some different ideas from me - people I think of as more or less regular people.
And then there’s the crazies, the noisy ones we see and hear on TV, they hold signs, block roads, hate ICE, hate Trump, etc.
I believe there’s more of the former group, though not to hold them blameless. They’ll vote for whatever Dem is on the ballot. But some of them may stay home if the crazy, noisy ones are in full control.
And some of them will switch parties to Indy or even to Repub.
My lifelong Liberal Democrat dad just switched to Indy.
There are no more normal Democrats.
Rep. Tom Suozzi shouldn’t go anywhere near Fort Marcy Park in the future.
If these more or less regular people would vote for these f’n freaks just because they’re Democrats then they’re not normal people they’re the problem.
They created the monsters and now they want them to go away.

Trump has already gotten a lot of them. We need more, the Republic needs more to change their views.

This will in one way or another, split the Dem party, fracture fund raising, the rabid college lefty will not donate large sums. Can’t be good for them.
I can’t envision a way far left loonie winning president in 2028.

The future of the Dem Party is socialism and communism. Anything else is destined for the museum of old time politics with “who were the whigs?” and “Who was Ross Perot?” for younger people to find unbelievable.
