IANAL, but I know there is a pretty fundamental legal principle out there that says that you cannot establish legal positions (such as declaring the MB a terrorist organization) and then apply it retroactively. In other words you can't prosecute someone for a crime that was not a crime when they took the action. So any politicians supported by MB would just need to cut their ties, or play the money laundering game and risk getting caught.
This should be an IMMEDIATE line of attack, given the redistricting issues currently in the news.
Remember how Democrats rushed to the courts to block President Trump when he wanted to add the citizenship question to the 2020 census and got the courts to say it was "arbitrary and capricious" and struck it from the census?
And then nobody complained when Biden issued an EO to count illegal aliens, the exact opposite of what Trump tried to do?
