Supply and demand says otherwise.

* Lax immigration policies increase demand for existing homes, raising prices on all homes.

Most houses would be priced way less without government imposed market distortions.

This will flood the market with homes, driving up supply and driving down prices.

It will also flood the market with sellers who can bid higher for their next home.
