That word alone is enough send pussy hat wearing, frumpy, feminazi karens and manbun sporting, frappuccino sipping, forever masked, effeminate hall monitors, over the edge.
I KNEW they would pounce on this, today, after I heard it.
Every word scrutinized.

Oy vey.
Shylock is a broad term for any money lender
The mob uses it
The now openly anti Israel left calling Trump an anti semite is the height of hypocrisy
Trump will handle this fine
He’ll make them look stupid and expose them
List....
The Good Lord must have loved ‘em ‘cause He made so many of ‘em.
The biggest bunch of Jew haters outside of the Middle East, claiming the best American friend Israel has had since 1948 is some sort of antisemite. They minted a coin to raise money for the Third Temple with his likeness juxtaposed next to King Cyrus. Actually, they made several. And I bought all of them. I sent pictures of them To my brother-in-law’s wife, a hardcore leftist New York Jew. She refused to acknowledge them.
That and Shyster, which is a normal NYC slang.
I once ran across an essay by a rabbi, written maybe late 1930s, who argued that the play by Shakespeare was not anti-semitic, that it was attacking anti-semitic attitudes. Of course negative stereotypes of Jews on the part of Christians predate Shakespeare by hundreds of years.
If you think it’s antisemitic to make an oblique reference to a fictional, ruthless Jewish moneylender, but think it’s virtuous to regard Jews as ruthless moneylenders that want to take over the world and deserve to be exterminated, then you might just be a Leftist.
Leftist freak out over this. Yet, they are absolutely silent when it comes to aggression & violence against Jews on campus. Because “colonialism”.
“Shyster” probably comes from a German word that is pronounced the same minus a certain consonant. Even though it’s German, it could get me in trouble if I typed it.
Though shylock was a crooked money lender who happened to be a Jew in a Shakespeare play, I doubt the word is always used as a Jewish slur. If I were going to use the word, it would, to me, just be a word to describe a financial crook, Jewish OR gentile. Obviously, Trump was not making a Jewish slur, but tds sufferers will jump on anything they can to denigrate him.
As far as I know, the two words are not linguistically connected. Shyster is a corruption of the German Scheisster.
Ah, “The Merchant of Venice”. In one country in Europe in one year the play was performed 86 times.
The problem is Trump is old.... So am I. Words used commonly when we were younger now have different meanings, often negative. Not our fault. I am sure he didn’t use it in a negative anti Semitic way.
Actions speak louder than words. Trump has Jewish family members. He is the biggest Israel supported the Presidency has ever had! Ridiculous.
Yiddish also.
Yiddish also.
