Yes, Lakeside Granny, my father’s side goes back four generations into the 1800s.
My mother grew up in Baltimore and her uncle had a farm right down the road from my home.
This is how and why my parents met.
My mother, her older sister (my Aunt Dorothy) and their mother (my maternal grandmother) moved to the general area
My mother worked briefly as a telephone operator before marriage.
To this day, I live in that ranch house my dad built after retirement—and I guess it was God’s plan for me to remain close to my now late parents.
My only sibling, my late older brother did marry and have my nephew and a daughter (my niece).
Therefore, it was left to me to assume what responsibilities my dad had handled when he passed in 2000 because my mother never wrote a check and was overly dependent on my father.
That’s why he established our family trust to protect and benefit both of us, knowing we needed extra security.
Unfortunately, this Trust has and continues to be an obstacle for me being accepted for qualifying for Medicare benefits.
It was challenging, taking on what my dad did, but that prolonged goodbye (Alzheimer’s/Dementia) with my mother left significant emotional scars.
Today, my dear nephew has powers of attorney for me, takes me shopping and checks on things around the house each week.
My niece lives in the neighboring county between Harford and DE with her son. She finally divorced from an unfaithful husband and incredibly will turn 50 in November.

Earlier, I had to quickly grab our older pup when we were walking the property, earlier, and I could smell that very distinct smell of a cottonmouth.
So, that’s a great name for Sen Cotton, Gran.
He now has a distinct stench of SNAKE TRAITOR!

I’m still living in the ranch house which we moved into in late 1968.
I can actually stand on my front porch and look across the road to another field (which was also part of the farm) and a couple roads to see the farm house in which I lived for the first 8 years of my life. So, I’m able to stand on my porch and see both of the homes in which I lived.
Initially, a physician from Baltimore County bought the farm and his daughter and her family lived in the now-dilapidated house.
Today, all of the land which used to be my dad’s dairy farm has been turned into a Sod company, providing lawns for residential and businesses.
The other highlight is an airport for small aircraft like Cessnas.
Yes, I do have treasured memories from both homes, especially of those now-distant years when my older family members were young and healthy.
Between 2000 and 2014, I lost both parents, my beloved Aunt, my brother, my SIL and a dear family friend who served as Trustee.
šš„°ā¤SO Happy and grateful to learn of this new level of protection for POTUS while he enjoys some golf, Lakeside Granny.
Indeed, sprawling golf courses, replete with dangerous site lines around the perimeter and elevated vantage points, definitely pose security risks.
Hopefully, Golf Force One will make the Secret Service’s overwhelming task a little easier.

When I first heard about this yesterday I thought surely it was a crazy loon, an illegal, or a muzzle. With my odds being on the latter two.

Yes....this one is one crazy loon. If reports are correct ... he spent quite a bit of time in an asylum. No idea why he was ever let out, if true.
