The federal gov’t of the United States didn’t exist until the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, created the central (”federal”) gov’t of the Untied States.
The Constitution is the ONLY source of authority for the federal gov’t and the Constitution delegates to the feds NO power over the lands within a state’s boundaries outside of the strict perimeters of Art I, Sec. 8, Cl. 17.
The Supreme Court and historical precedent disagree with your assessment. Whether right or wrong, you lost the argument on that issue and you lost it well over 150 years ago.
Around 1900, the Left in the federal gov’t, the bad guys, began ignoring the Constitution and the Right, supposedly the good guys, did nothing. There was nobody telling the Left that there was over 100 years of constitutional precent against what they were doing.
So now we roll over and play dead because the Left stole and continues to try to steal our God-given, Constitutionally protected freedom from gov’t coercion without a drop of blood being shed?
Sorry, Pal ain’t gonna happen. My rights come from God, not man and I along with other Patriots will fight to the end for what millions have fought and died for - FREEDOM and the Constitution which legally protects freedom!!!
Perhaps a little history lesson is in order. You cite 1900 but the first National Reservation was established by President Andrew Jackson in 1832 at Hot Springs, Arkansas and the first NationalPark was actually chartered in 1872. Other small Federally reserved lands in the early 1800’s were established to protect forest areas that provided shipbuilding Timbers. National cemeteries (which by some purists definition are probably unconstitutional also) were initially established in 1861 and if you want to go back to the original Continental Congress, they allocated funds for a monument to General Montgomery in 1776.
So Federal monuments or reservations of some sort have been around for at least 193 years. All this hooting, hollering and chest beating about these things being unconstitutional ignore historical precedent and past Supreme Court decisions.
Almost immediately after the Constitution was ratified there were challenges. Unconstitutional federal land grabs were one of the problems never challenged.
But around 1900, there was a surge in unconstitutional federal Court decisions and activity including FDR’s unconstitutional acts.
Apparently you don’t realize that the federal gov’t we have now is totalitarian because it is mostly unconstitutional. (The Constitution created a limited representative gov’t.)
You seem to have no problem with losing your freedom which is God given and constitutionally protected. Seems like you belong more to the Left than to the Patriotic Right which is what FR is all about.
“You seem to have no problem with losing your freedom which is God given and constitutionally protected.”
Of course I value freedom but I am smart enough to realize that it is not 1788 anymore. The world has changed, the country has changed and the needs of its citizens have changed. These changes have occurred gradually since the inception of our great republic and for the most part, they reflect the will of the people (right or wrong). The government of 1788 could not govern the country of 2025. We might lament that but it is reality.
Well then, in this ongoing battle for the soul of America, if you haven’t gone over to the other side, you’re either a POW or AWOL.
There are many who will not let the enemy take away their God-given and constitutionally-protected freedoms without a fight with bloodshed if necessary.
Guess you’re not one of them.
Rots a Ruck.
Have fun in your bunker !!!!
I’ll enjoy victory over the enemy and my freedom.
LOL, yeah sure. Everyone is a brave warrior online.
Except you apparently.
Yep I’m Not an online poseur. Unlike too many who never are at a loss to pump up what great Patriots they are and how they are going to crush those darned liberals, but who never seem to really do anything other than post online speeches.
We do what we can friend. The battle right now is a debate in the forum of ideas - it has not yet come to blows. We’ll see who’s left standing.
