A desire for revenge is not a permissible defense.

Not revenge - rage.

Colin Ferguson has entered the chat.

Really, I’ll stop bothering you. You’re not open to a result beyond the one you’ve thought of. But, the journals show long and deliberate premeditation, not spontaneous rage that might get you murder 2 or even manslaughter

“The State needs Luigi Mangione to take a plea deal because they can’t have the trial expose just how corrupt the healthcare industry is.”

First, you’ll have to prove the health care industry, used willingly by hundred millions people, is ‘corrupt’. Next, you’ll have to show how hating something can possibly justify the premeditated murder of someone. Lastly, you must tell us when the State did some uber stupid thing just because you believe it needs to.
Otherwise, it must be good to live in your warped universe.

“”Federal jailbirds have X accounts that they can post videos to?””

Funny no one else is questioning it. I read all the replies and didn’t see any but it was my first thought on reading the thread...

Otherwise, it must be good to live in your warped universe.

My warped universe? I'm just sharing how messed up our legal system is.

We have things called "Sanctuary Cities", and government minions using taxpayer money to aid and abet invaders.

We have "Student Loan Forgiveness".

We have charges dropped in deadly shootouts under "mutual combat".
https://www.foxnews.com/us/illinois-chicago-gang-shootout-mutual-combat-charges

We've witnessed President Trump get arrested and charged for fictitious crimes.

We have blatantly unconstitutional gun restrictions in multiple states.

We have Ghislaine Maxwell sitting in prison for trafficking minors to no one, not one single perp.

We have pharmaceutical korporations who continue to withhold data related to shots that were mandated.

We have voting machine companies that have destroyed evidence.

We had Pres__ent Obama serve as president despite being ineligible.

We had our government overthrown in 2020 and not one single person has been arrested for their role in it.

We had Kamala Harris serve as president despite not being a natural born citizen because her parents didn't become citizens until after she was born.

etc. etc. The list could go on for days.

But you keep thinking it's my warped universe.

Federal jailbirds have X accounts that they can post videos to?

It pays to read the story:

The Tampa native only spent two nights in the federal lockup’s 4G unit before making $250,000 bail at his March 7 arraignment, according to the Brooklyn US Attorney’s office.

It does pay to read the story. This was one of the few times I didn’t. Mea culpa. Thanks for the reminder. I typically do read the article before posting, but every now and again, especially if a website is bogged down with ads, I skip the annoyance. The NY Post has been particularly awful lately.

And in your warped universe, your shopping list of injustice (btw much much worse and agreed upon but totally unrelated to the supposedly corrupt health insurance industry) would justify the cold blooded murder of an innocent man, right?
Go to bed, son, you have zero argument.

Go to bed? Son?

How about you wake up and learn to read, Grandma.

Go back and read through what I wrote and explain to yourself where I ever justified cold blooded murder. Read it out loud, so you can hear the difference between what I wrote and what you told yourself you heard previously.

No problem. I had the exact same thought as you when I read the snippet. I figured he made bail.

When you said “Many patients who were illegally denied treatment were unavailable for comment as well.” I understand that you accuse, totally irrationnaly, the health insurance industry to kill those patients implying it’s fair game for Mangione to kill back the insurance CEO.

When you said “The State needs Luigi Mangione to take a plea”, I understand you believe the State will lose the case, implying Mangione will not be found guilty, implying murdering a man, oh, no big deal (sure, you can read the future!).

When you said “rage, not revenge”, I understand you believe Langione did not premeditate his murder, he just impulsively killed the CEO out of emotion (not only can you read the future, you can read minds too!).

Ok, for the sake of argument, my understanding is all wrong. So you tell me if your above sentences are not justifying coldblooded murder, then what are they meant to say?

That's your leap in logic, not mine. Rainbow Rising brought Brian Thompson into the comment. I brought in those who were illegally denied treatment. They're also a missing voice.

When you said “The State needs Luigi Mangione to take a plea”, I understand you believe the State will lose the case, implying Mangione will not be found guilty, implying murdering a man, oh, no big deal (sure, you can read the future!).

You understand I believe? and then say I can read the future??? You're the mindreader if you know what I believe. Nothing I wrote says The State would win or lose the case. I pointed out that The State can't afford to have evidence entered into court that exposes corruption in the medical industry. As for it being no big deal, that's your projection, not my statement, nor my view.

When you said “rage, not revenge”, I understand you believe Langione did not premeditate his murder, he just impulsively killed the CEO out of emotion (not only can you read the future, you can read minds too!).

Again, you understand what I believe? j.havenfarm stated that "A desire for revenge is not a permissible defense." in response to my post but I mentioned nothing about revenge nor a lack of premeditation. My reference to Colin Ferguson was because the defense his lawyers argued that his rage caused him to murder people on a train in New York in the 1990s. Colin Ferguson was shown to have premeditated his murder spree but his legal team still used rage, specifically "black rage", first coined in the 1960s, as a defense. It's not my position, I'm just pointing out how the legal system really works. This further makes my argument that our legal system is a mess, like the rest of legal morass in Post 27.

Ok, for the sake of argument, my understanding is all wrong. So you tell me if your above sentences are not justifying coldblooded murder, then what are they meant to say?

You do you, do it all day, but don't put words through my keyboard.

Yep. Luigi may have killed Brian, but Brian probably killed thousands.

“You do you, do it all day, but don’t put words through my keyboard.”

The irony that visibly escaped you is that you put the blame on the corrupt legal system (oh, breaking news!), yet by insisting that the State ‘needs’ to make a plea deal with a murderer, you are aiding and abetting that same corrupt legal system. Talk about lack of consistency and moral clarity!
So I get from your twisted logic that you are a troll with zero moral compass posting insane innuendos to, at best, say platitudes, at worse, defend a murdering thug. And when called out, you are too coward to even take responsibility for what you just said. But it’s just me, you know?
Bye, coward troll.
