“Ok, just Alberta then.”
Well said.
Well, one thing seems clear. If you are invited to the Oval Office for a press conference with President Trump, and you see Rubio and Vance are sitting on the couch, you are about to be embarrassed. Did Carney not see the Zelensky press conference?
We don’t want all of Canada. We will take Alberta and maybe Saskatchewan...
I saw what you did there..
British Columbia is more communist than many countries. Just say no...
British Colombia is in the yes no maybe column. Alberta gas and oil is a solid yes. Saskatchewan Manitoba are looking good with lots of elk hunting. Grains and beans farming.
GAYNESS.😂😂
Stephen Miller, Susie Wiles and company should be laying out the talking points and respectfully tell the President that some words and rhetoric are not helpful. Canada is destroying itself. No reason to go off on the 51st state joke. THAT became the headline and more unneeded scrutiny.
I don't see the problem.
Right it drove they’re voters to go full authoritarian leftist out of spite.
That’s okay maybe Greenland could be our 51st state in Canada could be the 52nd.
If we ever had a referendum on joining the U.S.A. in Canada, the vote would likely be in the vicinity of 90-10 against, having said that, I’m in the 10% in favor category, mostly because I know it would not make a lot of difference and would make my life a bit easier (I like to travel in the western states).
But if you asked people in western Canada about independence from Canada the vote right now without any political campaigns or influence of any kind would be around 70-30 against, down to 50-50 in parts of Alberta (the parts outside the larger cities).
I would say the odds of Alberta and some other parts of western Canada ever becoming part of the U.S. are low but not as low as 10 to 1 against, maybe 7 to 1? There’s no shortage of potential for Carney to piss off western Canada, he’s already signalled he plans to try to impose central government economic planning on Alberta where they are trying to create full economic sovereignty. The problem with full independent sovereignty is that Alberta has to access other territory to ship its goods, so one can declare full sovereignty but how to achieve it by having full access to markets?
There will be troubled times ahead on this entire issue. As most here have said, I wouldn’t recommend taking anything beyond resource producing regions otherwise you just end up with more Democrats.
Carve out greater Vancouver down to the US border and we’ll take the rest of BC.
I wish he’d stop too. I don’t want Canadian problems and it isn’t funny.
The main reason I voted for President Trump three times is because he doesn't pull any punches. Every other GOP Presidential candidate I voted for was a pussy, who wouldn't fight back or defend themselves when the RATS and media attacked them. They sat in the corner like a scolded puppy with their tails between their legs. I'll never vote for another mealy-mouthed GOP or RINO candidate ever again. Those days are over. The people on FR who say they wish he'd keep his mouth shut don't get it, and are fools. They prefer the old loser Republicans like the Bushes, Dole, McCain and Romney.
Canada’s problem is that they can’t retaliate with a put-down of the US that is funny and has a smidgen of credibility.
“It’s a noble creature!”
