I would argue that defenses did their job:

The smoke trail and lack of detonation are evidence.

This was a damaged missile stage impact. Could have been a lot worse.

Let’s hope for the best. Wiping out Yemen is only one step. Iran is the big target.

I spent a few weeks in Yemen many years ago. Very scary place... people looked inbred. We flew out in a private plane from a dirt runway.

“So how do you deal with these critters, unless you cut them off 100% from Iran.”

Just transfer a fleet of B-52s over to the Middle East with lots of bombs to go with that transfer. Then bomb the crap out of them 24/7 for a week. Wait a week and see if they decide to launch anymore of them. If they do, bomb them for 24/7 for two weeks straight. Wait to see if anything else happens. If they try anything else, bomb them for 24/7 for a whole month!

At some point they’ll give up. It’s just a matter of when.

It would be nice if Trump would use the B-52s before they get upgraded to B-52Zs.

The question is, how do they have the personnel and expertise to man the weapons that Iran gives them. Don't they eventually run out of willing and able nut bags?

It may be similar to how we run operations in Ukraine against Russia (where we do it ourselves and insist that we would never do such a thing).

Iran exports most of its oil through the terminals in Yemen.

How do the Iranians get the oil to Yemen for export from the other side of the Persian Gulf on the Saudi Peninsula?

Via the Gulf of Oman by tanker. Also, it is thought that Iran transfers crude oil to other tankers at sea and those take it to Yemen for distribution. Yemen captures the discount and port fees.

I know it can be done that way, but why bother if it could be shipped directly from Iran? Why unload and load again? Sanctions?

Exactly.

So effectively, our sanctions against Iran are subsidizing the Houthis.

Talk about blowback...

Not only that, but when we smoke the Houthis there are no funeral expenses... It's a trade subsidy!

An Iranian/Communist Chinese proxy terrorist gang planted in a strategic location to attack Saudi Arabia “from the rear” while Iran can infiltrate, invade the oil fields (mostly in the gulf region, eastern part of Arabia) directly from the Persian gulf.

The missile attacks on Israel are their “icing on their Islamicist cakes” ... and will be dealt with for sure.

Correct. Yemen has the second highest rate of sibling and 1st cousin marriages in the Arab world, next to the Peshawar region of Pakistan, with an estimated 30% of children born with defects. Yemeni Arabs have the lowest I.Q. level in the Arab world.

Sunni fanatics just took over Syria. And they continue to spread mayhem around the world. I had not heard of them being pacified anywhere.

It got in too close for comfort, and a few travelers were injured.

I remember my first bombardment. We were in Nahariya, and back then I still went to the shelter. It was my first alarm, so I thought it was the thing to do. The missile got intercepted alright, but a piece of it landed on the roof of the grocery store across the street and exploded. Nothing came of it, except the roof turned black. The grocery store was otherwise fine, and life went on. Eventually I stopped going into the shelter. Odds of a heart attack at my age were greater than the odds of getting killed by a missile from Lebanon.

But travelers in and out of Ben Gurion are a different sort of animal. Those bass turds scared some tourists and business men. Now they’re gonna get it.

This problem will not be effectively dealt with until there is blockade covering both sea and air.
