"But the Royal Family is pretty much $#it. He saw how they treated her mother. So I can't really blame Harry."

If he feels that way, and wants nothing to do with them, then he shouldn't be begging or suing for benefits only royals who perform their required official duties get. He wants his cake, but he doesn't want to have to do anything in return to get it.

It would be interesting to see if Harry leaves Meghan, then William reconciles with Harry and the kids and Harry are allowed to royal events but Meghan is not allowed to be there LOL.

You have to look at the big picture. The Royal Family screwed over Harry's mother. William is looking the other way because he's the heir.

That's not the "big picture" - that's just an excuse. First, whomever was responsible for the way Harry's mother was treated, it certainly wasn't either his brother or his brother's wife. Harry nevertheless chose to go on national TV and trash the both of them. And if he blames his father and his father's wife, and still wanted revenge after all these years, then trying to have a relationship with them doesn't make sense anyway.

If you take private familial conversations and go public with them on TV, and write a book about them as well, you should fully expect to be ostracized from that family. His requests to meet and talk things out are rightly rejected because his family cannot know that he won't take those "private" conversations and go public with them also.

The problem gets even worse to the extent his family believes he misrepresented or even lied about those interactions. Because to the extent that's the issue, the only way they can prevent him from lying about future interactions is to not have any.

He made his bed, and now he has to lie in it.

And Harry left on his own accord, the Royal Family and UK owe him nothing. (Although if it was my son, I would do everything towards reconciliation.)

Yep. New life. Which is what Edward VIII did. So Harry should follow his lead. And enjoy his life in California.

You only know the tabloid and Diane's supporters' view on what happened. Charles and Diane were never a love story. The only people other than Charles that could tell the whole story are dead, and Charles is rapidly reaching his best if used by date. The Queen took the abuse and never told her side of things. If Diane had an affair, the Queen most certainly knew, but would never go public. William was a child; he could no more judge his father than his mother. Why should he live his life in the shadow of their joint screwups? I did not ask my mother and father why they divorced, nor did they ever speak of it. William may know some things we don't about his lovely mother, who just happened to send them off to boarding school while she partied with her lover all over Europe. Not Mom of the year material.

Harry is a cuckolded husband who gave up his family and the Royal life for a woman. He does not get to dictate the terms of his separation from the family. Many Royals who did well under the Queen are no longer working Royals, as Charles has cut the welfare dole for Royals. Reportedly, William is planning even more cuts when he is King, effectively reducing the cost to the UK taxpayers of maintaining a Royal family to the bare minimum. It will also reduce the number of Royal patronages, as the few remaining working Royals cannot support them.

Harry and Megan will lose their HRH titles and become less relevant than they are today. The Royal family is independently wealthy, and poor little Harry will become even more of a millionaire after Daddy dies. If I were Charles, I would take whatever I intended to give the cuckolded Harry and put it in a trust to be divided by all my grandchildren when they reach the age of 30. I would give Harry an Estate in the UK that has been placed in a conservation trust so he cannot sell it. Megan will be gone within a year after she can no longer market herself as a Royal.

Harry is right for leaving the Royal Family. And the Royal Family is correct in cutting him off.

That should settle everything.

FAFO.

Stuff said in haste as a cocky young man often causes harm that cannot be rescinded.

And if people think his DAD is angry at him…wait until his brother becomes King. Prince Harry will just become “Harry from da block.”

The Royal family is independently wealthy

That is true today. But things are changing in the UK. In 20 years, why would the British "subjects" continue to support the Royal Family?

Demographics are destiny.

“My Daddy is being mean to me! Can you meet with him, Uncle Keir and make him talk to me?” “Don’t you know who I am??”

Harry, your father and no one else in the RF wants to talk to you. They don’t trust you. Your book blew up any chance of reconciliation. If they met with you, it would just give you fodder for your next “tell-all” book. You wanted to be Private Citizens Mr. and Mrs. Harkle, with no connection to the RF, so now you have it. Actions have consequences.

This can all be summed up by acknowledging that Harry is an asshole who married a shrew.

Harry reminds me of Edward VIII who abdicated to marry a twice-divorced American, and then demanded he maintain many of his royal benefits. The Duke of Windsor’s brother, King George VI had his phone tapped, and shipped him off to the Bahamas to be Governor there in order to get him out of England because he was getting too cozy with Hitler. According to correspondence in the Marberg files which were supposed to be destroyed after the war, but weren’t, the Germans had plans to put Edward back on the throne in exchange for peace with Germany. Historians believe the duke’s dealings with the Nazis during the Second World War were extensive, and that his actions were covered up by the British government after the war. He corresponded with German agents throughout the war.

"That should settle everything."

You must have testified at his recent court hearing in London, because that's the decision the court came to as well.

Prince Bozo and his wife Morticia need to STHU.

He has gone to war zones/unsafe countries in fake diplomatic missions (and pretended to represent Lord knows what) that weren’t sanctioned by the RF and didn’t flinch but is demanding multiple securitiy measures - armed guards, armored cars and such - just to ferry him and his skank wife around????

Methinks it is SHE who wants the optics of being important.

You just KNOW Morticia Markle thought she was going to be Miss USA VIP with cameras flashing, crowds everywhere screaming for her and that her picture on every magazine cover like Diana did.

Problem is, we are revulsed by someone as hideous as her - there is so much about her that is viciously disgusting and she is despised pretty much everywhere. She whines about family but treated her husbands grandparents with such contempt and disrespect and hasn’t seen her father in years. She is 💩.

And Harry is the village idiot.
