Do away with TEDS. shrimpers weren’t killing sea turtles & this has been known for decades, yet the regulations still exist because some bureaucrats can’t admit they were wrong.

Most of the catfish farms are or were located in low regulation Southern states. About half of U.S. raised catfish is produced in Mississippi. Most catfish is consumed in the South. There have been questions relative to the safety of foreign raised catfish, and there have been enforcement actions against importers even under Obama and Biden. The best bet is to look at the label at the grocery store to ensure that it is American. The same applies to shrimp, salmon, etc.

Every store I go to in North Texas lists the place of origin and wild or farmed on every seafood offered in the fresh department. Whole Foods, HEB, Kroger , Albertsons all list it for every item.

This is my first look at shore dinner as well.

When I was younger I had an almost insatiable appetite. If I had gone without eating for 24 hours back then, I could have eaten over half of what’s in the picture without a problem. Concentrating on the lobster and whatever those fried things are in the lower left, of course.

Even on my best day (or worst, as the case may be), I could never have eaten all of that in one sitting.
