All conversations about illegal aliens should always begin with the understanding that they are all criminals, as they are in this country illegally. They have no right to be here, and should be summarily deported upon apprehension.

But criminals create lots of police, prison and court related jobs. Can’t cut that source of economic stimulus.
Some of them are even dads.

For every “Ivan” paying his taxes, there are thousands being paid cash who are reporting nothing and paying nothing. Another NBC fake alarmist “news” story. Deport.

This writer, a pro globalist state-ist left wing Democrat, exposes a strange subterfuge by writing this. He is trying to convince what he perceives to be purely money driven transactional Republicans to halt deportations for monetary reasons. He thinks that Republicans are that shallow, myopic and reactionary. Maybe he's right if some of the anit-tariff Globalist Free Traitors™ on this site are any indication.

So, with their tax savings, they will spend more money, hence needing more products, that must be created and sold by more workers. Thus, employment remains high and with increased employment, tax revenue surges.

In other news... Democrats fearful that the arrest and detainment of illegal immigrant gang member human traffickers will severely impact the rate of sexual intercourse among the US population, women and children impacted at a disproportionate rate.

IMHO, Trump should do the following:

1) require them to register for a 90 day, renewable, taxpayer ID number, not a SS #.

2) impose a 95% tax on all foreign money transfers under $2,500/ week, or $5,000/month.

3) 200% tax on prepaid overseas cell phone cards.

4) tax their wages at 75%

5) impose a 25% SS tax.

6) contract with the airlines, bus services, and rail to provide discount travel to the nearest point of entry.

Hope they add in a clause to seize their withholding as a penalty.

Did they include the part about how much money the government would save if they exported all the illegal freeloaders on government programs?

Drilling down to the actual 2022 study https://itep.org/undocumented-immigrants-taxes-2024/: “To accomplish this, the study combines well-established techniques for estimating the size and tax-relevant characteristics of the undocumented population” ....” doing so, it arrives at nationwide estimates of the overall tax contributions of the estimated 10.9 million”..... “Given that the undocumented population included 10.9 million people in 2022, this $96.7 billion tax payment is equivalent to $8,889 per person.” This includes SSI and other fed taxes. Each immigrant would be making about $45,000 per year. The study does not analyze age of the immigrants ie. how many are children not working. Also it doesn’t determine how many immigrants are actually working as a percentage of the total. The general US population has a total of 55% working. So these are working at a greater percentage of the US pop. could be but you would have to include those stats in this study.

Undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state and local taxes in 2022, according to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a nonprofit, nonpartisan tax policy organization. About $59.4 billion of that went to the federal government and $37.3 billion to state and local governments, according to the group’s analysis. It found that even a 10% decrease in the number of undocumented immigrants filing their taxes would mean a decrease of $9.5 billion a year in tax revenue.

notice, they address just one issue. Where is the information on what they receive from taxes?

Some how they can easily identify the illegal immigrants. Maybe they will share with us how they do that. Do they have access to IRS records?

Learn to read fake news for what is NOT there..........

From the ITEP website

The Geographic Distribution of Extreme Wealth in the U.S.
Excessive concentration of wealth runs counter to our national aspiration for genuine equality of opportunity, and it saps the vitality of our democracy through the consolidation of power and influence. Tax policy offers a powerful means of beginning to address our nation’s stark level of inequality, but current law is clearly falling short of its potential.

I have the study for the estimates in my profile page- well, not the actual study, but an article about it which breaks down the facts- I imagine that the cost of illegals is well over $1 trillion today, per year. Not to mention all the crimes they commit overall, and the devastation that they bring to 1000’s of citizen families- I have another article about that aspect of illegal Immigration too 2hich gives some staggering figures, and again, that article was fro decades ago too, so the numbers are efen higher now
