Melania is fluent in German, so she may be able to communicate in some manner to the Danish, German being very similar to Danish.
In a diplomat’s capacity, all she would really need would be a few greetings, and courtesy responses.
I doubt if she would be required or expected to give a full speech in either language of Greenland.
But the majority of the 53,000 residents speak Greenlandic, not Danish which is unintelligible to German speakers.

Of course Denmark is not like Russia or Venezuela.
That sounds like a Neocon talking point. Denmark is the new Hitler of the Month, so the U.S. has a moral obligation to liberate Greenland. Not because we want Greenland, but for the sake of Freedom!
