These judges are Nullifires and should be treated as such. Do like Jackson, and ignore them!

“The last admin went on a hiring spree to load up on pro union newbees.”

They are probationary. That means they can be fired at will.

The last admin went on a hiring spree to load up on pro union newbees.

The judge is making a finding that this is de facto reduction in force (RIF) masquerading as probationary violations. There are specific rules for RIF layoffs that aren't being followed, i.e., employee evaluations. People have been terminated who had stellar performance reviews. A judge is not likely to believe they suddenly failed probation because a new administration is in office that wants cut Congressionally approved spending.

“”Probationary employees are the lifeblood of our government. They come in at a low level and work their way up. That’s how we renew ourselves,” said Alsup,”

That is not a legal ruling. That is a policy opinion.

There is no such thing as “probationary violations”.

Probationary employees have zero job protection.

They can be fired for any reason—or no reason at any time.

In this case there is a reason stated by the President—the huge federal deficit that he wants to get under control.

They should tell him, “Hey, Buddy. Go renew yourself. And the horse you rode in on.”

“The court has already ruled that the president can fire anyone he wants. See Biden v Spicer.”

That’s completely different. Biden was a deep stater. Spice was MAGA.

”Probationary employees are the lifeblood of our government”

That is just a way to get out of doing the work themselves. They “hire” part time probates to do their simple work making their time more available to do other things or nothing. Temps are not the lifeblood of the government. They are a part time, sometimes seasonal, employee with no need for skills other than willing to do sh-t work the employers don’t want to do. And those positions are not defined nor established as entry level positions. They aren’t even job related.

If a slot becomes vacant or a new one is established, the same hiring process is used to select an employee. And that constitutes more than having worked for the department before and being in competition with first time candidates.

“Probationary employees are the lifeblood of our government. They come in at a low level and work their way up. That’s how we renew ourselves,” said Alsup, an appointee of Democratic former President Bill Clinton.

The very word probationary certainly indicates they are not the lifeblood of our government. The appropriate renewal of U.S. government is called an election. Just as we had in 2020.

If it’s not Election Day there’s no need for them to leave the house.

They’re not mission-critical. When their jobs become mission-critical, hiring can occur.

Bet judges wouldn’t be so protective of probationary workers if keeping them meant we’d have to fire judges to pay for the workers’ salaries.

Personally I want all these activist judges where ever they are to come out with their ridiculous rulings/stays etc. Let’s get it all out in the open. Trump is so good at provoking the TDS sufferers making stupid things before they realize they are exposed.

I think some Congressman may be making an impeachment list.

Trump just seems to know all the right buttons to push.

Who needs a president when we have judges who run the country?

The throw down between these two branches would be unnecessary if the third branch would grow a spine and pass laws in accordance with the President’s direction.

When people cry about federal workers losing their jobs, take a look at this:

2019: 1,898,440 federal employees
2020: 1,936,454 federal employees
2021: 1,956,539 federal employees
2022: 1,960,181 federal employees
2023: 2.87 million federal employees
2024: 3 million federal employees

I suspect a lot of the more recent federal hires (under Biden administration) were DEI connected hires or favors for the politically connected. Or, these could be jobs for which people do not actually exist, but funds are directed to someone’s banking account for that job position.

These positions need to be tracked down to see if they are necessary or if they even exist. I suspect that is what DOGE is doing.
