Journalism is dead and has been for quite awhile. It’s all based on personal emotion and made up stories to make the writer feel better and/or project their feelings and opinion.

This Goldberg is the same POS who wrote the lie that Trump cancelled a trip to a cemetery in France and called the Marines buried there Losers and suckers. This happens systematically: I will call it "nucleation publishing."
One writer publishes an outrageous lie, and thousands the world over follow up with "According to an article published in the respected monthly The Atlantic, [insert outrageous lie]."
When the lie is debunked: crickets.
The lie is taken as fact by millions - billions.
Perhaps they take turns or draw lots who'll be this week's outrageous liar.
