Like a joke, if you have to explain it, it isn’t punny (but sometimes the explanation is funnier than the joke!).

That is one way to look at it.
However, an experiment is usually an activity performed to advance the frontier of science. This is an applied science activity that will advance the art of engineering.
Before we get started, a useful question is, “why are we doing this”? The answer, climate hysteria. Not an adequate reason, just like the carbon capture boondoggle.
This project will enrich lots of crony capitalists, and result in little return.
One GE combustion turbine can crank out 500 MW. While there’s a lead time for production, the design doesn’t need licensing.

There is plenty of natural gas at under $3 per unit, which costs $13 per unit 15 years ago. We are doing this because of anti CO2 hystera. China and India are building coal plants right and left.
