Adder you stated the case well. I feel your empathy. I live here in Black Mountain and last Friday I watched this horrific historic event Take place in front of my eyes from my living room window. I don’t have time to respond more fully .out the door to help my community .
Bless you.
Government institutions by design are incompetent and corrupt. When your officials don’t have a clue how to run anything and are then given tons of money the outcome is always predictable.
Expecting government help should the last thing you’d expect.
Shouldn't that be the role of Housing and Urban Development or Health and Human Services?
I guess FEMA had the larger budget to raid or Mayorkas was more willing to go along with the plan.

“..but without coordination it becomes more of a mess that it helps and red meat topics for radio.“
If FEMA are such great and efficient coordinators they could simply take down what ad hocs are doing and work it in to their schedule or suggest areas for the ad hocs to fill in. But that ain’t what they’re doing. They’re shutting out Americans who simply want to do what Americans have always done in situations like this.
FEMA's part of the evil...
Never said they were the best I saw better support in other incidents. I think the major problem is they are out of money. You need funds to move mountains of supplies, people, and equipment and time and logistics to get it there. And with the infrastructure destruction in mountains makes it harder.
It is a righteous mess.
Feds Say There’s No Money Left To Respond To Hurricanes — After FEMA Spent $1.4 Billion Dollars On Migrants (Illegal Aliens)

It’s not just going to migrants...
Someone should look into how much FEMA has and still is doling out for, get this, COVID relief...
GAO report critical of FEMA's handling of pandemic
..."As of March 2024, FEMA had committed to spend $125.3 billion from the fund for COVID-19–related assistance like vaccinations, testing sites, and more—and had spent $103.6 billion of it," the GAO wrote. New York, Texas, and California had been given at least $15 billion each, the report states...
FEMA is just a bleeping big slush fund for Deep State to use to reward its minions and cronies.
With Trump’s possible win looming the democrats will siphon off any penny they can at this point. They should be in jail.
From Kansas recently...
Hays receives FEMA help in federal grant application for R9 water project
FEMA shoukd not be paying for this one in OH, either...
Not just the Dems. The Pubbies have their snouts in the trough, too.
There are 2 different cajun navy nonprofit rescues- do you know which one is original?
Very true they both will be starved for funds if Trump/Kennedy get control of the environment.
I think Samaritans Purse?
FEMA’s mission is continuity of government. They are supposed to be the agency that oversees and coordinates relief efforts. They generally are not in the business of rescuing people or handing out food, water, generators etc. Now they might assist in procuring and basic distribution of those commodities but it is rare that they are the ones actually going door to door. FEMA plays a bigger role in later recovery efforts where they directly provide financial aid to municipalities and individuals and they also directly manage the emergency housing fleet.
Remember that FEMA is a relatively small organization (for the government) and most of their members are specialists in recovery and logistics NOT search and rescue.
When will this mayorkas fellow be in court at a trial for his ongoing treason?
It is mystifying that so many Americans are OK with this state of affairs.
So many Americans have now graduated from the Gov't, socialist, brainwashing K-12 school system. They can barely
read at a 3rd grade level and only turn to the MSM for news.
Are they so driven by partisan hatred that they don't care about their fellow citizens, or just so brainwashed
that they don't notice the decline?
Yes, to the first, because, ala Hillary!, if you're not a fellow traveler, you're not a fellow citizen.
Yes, to the second.
