It is free, though I subscribe ($20 a month) for a more advanced version.

ChatGPT

You can use it at the link I just provided or you can download the app on your phone and carry on verbal conversations with it (you speak to it, it speaks to you).

You’re kind of making my point here, though. He has no say in the direction of the company on day-to-day decisions. People associate him with Microsoft because he was the founder, but he’s moved on in life to more nefarious things.

He is still very much involved. Just because he is no longer on the board doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have strong clout and influence on board decisions. He is just as guilty as the rest and deserves all the criticism he gets. All he did was insulate himself from direct accountability like a silent partner does.

Here's what ChatGPT says about your question.;-)

Currently, ChatGPT does not have an official speech-to-speech PC application that can be downloaded directly. However, you can use ChatGPT with speech capabilities through various third-party tools. Here's a general way to set up speech-to-speech interaction with ChatGPT on your PC:

1. Speech-to-Text (Convert your voice to text)

Use tools like:

Google Speech-to-Text: Google's free voice typing on Chrome works very well. You can turn on voice typing in Google Docs or use the microphone icon on Google search.

Windows Speech Recognition: Built into Windows, this can be used to dictate text into any text field.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking: A paid option with more advanced speech recognition.

Microsoft Dictation: Integrated with Office apps and works on Windows 10/11.

2. ChatGPT (for the main conversation)

Use ChatGPT in your browser or through OpenAI’s API for integration into a custom app.

Type your text or use a speech-to-text solution to convert your voice input to text and interact with ChatGPT.
3. Text-to-Speech (Convert ChatGPT's response to speech)

Use tools like:

Microsoft Edge's "Read Aloud": Available on websites and documents, including browser-based interactions with ChatGPT.

Natural Reader: Free and paid versions available for converting text to natural-sounding speech.

Balabolka: A free text-to-speech program that can read text input from the clipboard or files.

By combining these tools, you can effectively achieve a "speech-to-speech" interaction with ChatGPT on your PC.

“and steve ballmer owns 4% and gates owns 1.4% UMMM

And here is another question. How many diverse companies that Gates owns also own shares in proxy company names even though they are all owned by Gates? Enough combined to actually still hold the controlling interest in total shares? Just because they are not in his direct name doesn’t mean he doesn’t own a pile of companies who own shares in their company name rather than in Gates name. Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Bananas, are all individual items of one big fruit basket. But who owns all those different individual fruits in the basket? Therefore who truly owns the whole basket?

We have no clue how many of the smaller shareholder companies Gates also owns. He may own enough to still have the controlling interest.

I didn’t know that he was disconnected from Microsoft. Thanks for the correction. So, with my apologies I will direct my comments to the ‘rest of the oligarchy’.
