Same.
I never read film critics, I just watch an occasional movie & make my own judgment.

My husband and I saw it today. Great turnout and the audience were very engaged. Lots of very accurate quotes and scenes.
My only criticism was too much time on the Ronny\Nancy relationship.

Yes, “professional” critics are evaluating not on the basis of historical accuracy or artistic merit. They evaluate based on adherence to the political narrative.

Oh I’ve simply ignored reviews by the “professional” movie critics for a long long time
They know as much about movies, as Billy Napier knows about football.

That's not Reagan. They need to do a better job with make up. Or at least make him wear a mask.

Wow. It just started. Seems quick to leave the theaters. Worst case, Amazon will have it in a month.

I follow several former Reagan staffers on X, and they have all said it was very good and really caught the essence of Ronald Reagan.

Part of it is that I enjoy his presentation, and part of it, I admit, is that he agrees with me.
(Note I didn’t say I agreed with him...I already had a set view of many movies I had seen and only listened to him after the fact, and was delighted to find he reached many of the same conclusions I did.)

Does Rotten Tomatoes have a way of verifying movie attendance? Through Fandango, the ticket-purchasing app. Rotten Tomatoes either bought Fandango or the other way around.
Only accounts that have purchased a movie ticket through Fandango will be allowed to leave an audience review on Rotten Tomatoes. This is a fairly recent implementation and was made to counteract "review bombs" from people who never saw the film. It will likely lead to more positive reviews as people generally don't want to bomb a movie they just spent their own hard-earned money to go see.
