The Doomsday clock just moved up a few more seconds closer to midnight. Quite sure the US may prevail but not without heavy losses and damage. Will it be worth it? I prefer good diplomacy.

It's absurd to think Russia would tolerate us fomenting an illegal coup in Ukraine, installing a puppet government hostile to both Moscow and the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine and allowing NATO to train, fund and arm a 600,000 man army on its borders.
But, you don't give a hoot how those aggressively stupid policies have pushed us closer to WW III and nuclear war than we ever were during the Cold War. Or that they pushed Russia into a dangerous alliance with China. Or that they gave fuel for the rise of BRICS.
That same mentality that the Soviets had when they shipped missiles to Cuba.
Did we tolerate that so close to our borders?

We aren’t Russia and this isn’t Europe and the home of World Wars, and you haven’t made a point, I’m not a zeeper but you are rabidly and extraordinarily pro-Putin/Russia and anti-America and the West .
Most of the Pooty Poopers are something else too: Astoundingly arrogant. Almost like prototypical “bad Americans” on steroids, but with the pro-”Russia” twist. The interesting thing is that most Russians outside the political arena, that I’ve known, followed on You Tube, or whatever, in the past, seem to be pretty nice people.
IMO, that’s not the greatest danger. The real danger is general instability in Europe. Curbing that has always been NATO’s “real” mission, if not usually stated. “Russia” is just one facet of that.
