It will only be different this time if the American people insist on it being different this time.
There’s certainly a lot more people who are awake now. It took them several years to wake up. Different people woke up over different things at all different junctures.
For some people it was a realization of the COVID overkill in hindsight. For some people it was the runaway inflation. For some people it was the illegal immigration. For some people it was seeing that Biden was not this great uniter who’s going to keep all the good stuff that Trump did in place, only without all the “chaos and divisiveness”.
The percentage of people who think the 2020 election was stolen has steadily increased over the last four years.
So while the prospect of them trying to steal it again is still high, things are much different this time around in many ways.

The PA General Assembly (state version of Congress) and the PA governorship is controlled by democrats. I just received a newsletter from my PA (state) representative, who happens to be a republican, bemoaning that the democrats in the PA General Assembly once again blocked a common sense voter-id bill. Even if the General Assembly would have passed the bill, our democrat governor would have vetoed it.
Polls show that 3/4 of Pennsylvanians want voter-id. The problem we have is that the politicians and courts are not swayed by the will of the people while their party holds the levers of power. A republican party that's playing flag football while the democrats play smash-mouth doesn't help.
Yes, Americans who want a working republic are more aware of fraud and corruption in our government and institutions but that alone does not translate into draining the swamp(s).
It will take installing true and faithful representatives who place the people above party to change things. The catch-22 is that the corrupt people in power control who gets elected.
When I say it will only be different this time if the people make it different, I’m thinking more along the lines of something like this.

Dem state officials will probably count ballots that still say Harris Vice President as “Harris President.”
Philly & Pittsburgh precincts will count ballot marked Trump for Harris. It's what democrats do. It's what PA state RINOs allow.
