Didn’t have to be AI. Could have been simple audio editing. 30 years ago I made videos for work. My boss had English as a 2nd language and I took 1/4 sec out from between his sentences because his slowness made him less commanding. I had to use cutaways because it was video. Straight audio would have been trivial.
Another narrator turned out to be a brilliant scientist and a hopeless speaker when the camera turned on. Not unusual, unfortunately. Ultimately, I had to use a cutaway shot of her pacing while attempting to memorize her lines and created sentences that didn’t exist from the many takes I had in a successful demonstration of the coherency of her thoughts, if not her speaking at the time. Again, if audio only, it would have been a breeze.
There are programs that will take anyone’s voice and replace it with another’s voice. Mr G has used it in music recording. I could do a song and he could make me sound like Taylor Swift. It is often used in vocal dubbing for movies. They don’t have to be perfect in timing any more. This program will just make it match. They could easily have any old aide read the words, and *shazaam!* it’s Joe!
