Never watched his long-running series. We were introduced to Newhart, and Jonathan Winters via the Ed Sullivan Show. My sister had record albums of both men's stand-up comedy skits. Bob's was the "Button-down Mind of Bob Newhart." The Jonathan Winters album was "Down to Earth."
One of my favorite skits by Newhart was his "The Grace L. Ferguson Airline (And Storm Door Company).
