I wish I believed that. I do fear that any fresh blood in the race will not be good for Trump. Right or wrong, there are many that see Trump as the lesser of two evils right now and will hold their breath and vote for him.
If there is someone new (other than Kamala) there will be a lot of people that will reconsider their vote. On the other hand, passing over Kamala could cause the democrats to implode.
I don’t think we will know until after the democrat convention.
