poppycock. The Earth is not static. It’s hurling thru space at 66,000 mph, subject to tidal influences from the inner core, and the moon, sun and other influences in the region of space the planet travels through. The Earth continued to slow and days lengthen even during the past ice ages.
“the moon’s recession rate—3.8 centimeters per year—which, largely due to the orientation of Earth’s landmasses and its effect on oceanic sloshing, is faster now than in previous epochs... In the early Carboniferous period some 350 million years ago an Earth year was around 385 days... a day–night cycle was less than 23 hours long....vertically accumulating tidal “rhythmites” have pegged an Earth day at 21.9 hours some 620 million years ago. This equates to a 400-day year.. The moon is slowly spiraling away from Earth... “You’re putting energy into the moon’s orbit and taking it out of the Earth’s spin,” says James Williams, a senior research scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif....”

“Scientists have speculated this recent, mysterious change in the planet’s rotational speed is related to a phenomenon called the “Chandler wobble” – a small deviation in Earth’s rotation axis with a period of about 430 days. Observations from radio telescopes also show that the wobble has diminished in recent years; the two may be linked.
“One final possibility, which we think is plausible, is that nothing specific has changed inside or around Earth. It could just be long-term tidal effects working in parallel with other periodic processes to produce a temporary change in Earth’s rotation rate.”

” Glacial rebound... North America is still responding to the loss of glacial ice at the end of the last ice age..., core-mantle coupling is now recognized as a likely source of interdecadal variations in polar motion...Mass redistribution in the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, hydrosphere, and solid Earth can all cause changes between seasons. For example, shifts in zonal wind patterns and atmospheric circulation are responsible for around 90% of seasonal length of day variations....”

“Earth’s rotation has been slowing down over millions of years due to friction effects associated with the tides driven by the Moon. That process adds about 2.3 milliseconds to the length of each day every 100 years. A few billion years ago, an Earth day was only about 19 hours.”

“Earth’s rotation is slowing because of its relationship with our moon. Earth’s days are getting longer by about 1.8 milliseconds per century. That means it will take 3.3 million years to add one minute. It will take 200 million years to add that extra hour to our day..”

So.....in actuality, time will stretch and nothing will happen for millenia.
