I forgot to mention that, by all accounts, she’s also as mean as a snake. I think the current polls represent her high water mark. Low information voters got a 2X2 right in the teeth at the debate. She hasn’t been strongly on their radar screens. Wait until they get a snoot full of her. It’s going to be glorious

Michelle has never had a real job. I double she could manage a 7-11. She had a sinecure political job in the Illinois hospital for which she was vastly overpaid.

So do I, but that means:
1) The Deep State/IC is not worried about Trump any more - they think he is too old, too addicted to his own celebrity, and they can easily neuter any serious attempts he makes to limit their power.
2) The only entity in DC capable of truly limiting the Deep State/IC's power is the House of Representatives, led by an activist Speaker. They will put their time and effort into keeping potential threats out of the House, as they did in 2022.
The interests of the Deep State/IC and the interests of the Left Wing of Democrat Party are staring to diverge. Leftist collectivism is not really of any interest to the DeepState/IC except as a control mechanism for the lower classes - the way the CCP uses it - and a way to keep potential internal adversaries distracted and off-balance.
We are already seeing people like Jamaal Bowman being replaced with more reliable "old hands". MAGA conservatives will in the same way be gradually pruned out of the Republican Party using 2020-style fraud tactics in the primaries - with the full support and consent of the leadership. That's why the GOP leadership is not too interested in addressing ballot fraud - they fear (rightly) that without the ability to use it themselves when necessary they will lose control of their own primaries.
3) Look for four years of a holding pattern - with a potential economic crash, major wars, and more viruses - all of which the media can conveniently blame on an aging Trump. This will keep him off-balance and limit his ability to implement any MAGA goals the Deep State/IC might object to. Inflated prices will not deflate, the dollar will continue to weaken, and housing prices and interest rates will continue to rise. The script will then flip, and within two years the media will will be calling Trump senile and his VP choice "unthinkable" as a replacement.
4) In the meantime, Trump will be performing the same service for the Deep State/IC that Biden has: convincing older, wealthier whites that an experienced, WASP-ish President is in control and there is no need to direct their vast economic power into making any serious political changes.
I am as big a Trump fan as anyone, but it would take a Franco or a Pinochet to smash these people the way MAGA voters hope for and there isn't one anywhere in American politics right now. It really would take F-15's to eliminate the Deep State/IC - or invasion and occupation by a foreign power. Neither of those scenarios would be pleasant for the average American.

Well, now the Dems also have a new weapon they can deploy, especially in 2028 - 10 million (I read 17 yesterday and 13 the day before) - new “migrant” voters to add to their rolls.
I suspect many of them will be voting in this year’s election, but they’ll certainly be voting by 2028.
The Deep State will do everything it can to make sure all 10, 13 or 17 million remain in the U.S. if Trump is elected - from filing lawsuit after lawsuit, to calling him a racist bigot.
Notable here is the DM poll showing Michelle 5 points behind Trump.
I would eagerly watch the debate. Trump will again use his famous line, I don’t know what she just said, and I don’t think she knows what she just said.

If they nominate Harris--or Joe resigns, and Harris becomes President--the praetorian press, Hollywood, academia, and the rest of the Democrat propaganda machine will convince millions of the willingly brainwashed that she's the smartest woman who's ever lived, Joan of Arc, Mother Teresa, the Statue of Liberty, and the savior of democracy.

Whenever anyone has to quantify that they are as big a fan of Trump as anyone I wonder if they are not.
Trump's part in this is to handle himself the way he did in the debate, which is to stay on point and not too over-the-top during highly visible media engagements like debates. This is especially true if he gets matched up against a woman which, by the way, the right can continually throw the definition of a woman in their faces throughout the campaign. But Trump needs to stay somewhat above that fray and leave that to us. He should let Kamala hang herself with her own word salads.
Look back at the vice-presidential debates of 2020 for what to expect. After Biden's mentally incapacitated debate performance, she is going to look like a genius to the left. And the press will sell that narrative until the end of days.
A Kamala/Hillary ticket would be unbeatable!
